Сад им. М.В. Фрунзе - это бывший Чернореченский сад, который был заложен в 1936 году на границе старого Оренбурга, где бывшая крепость переходила в городские предместья. Только после революции саду было присвоено нынешнее название – сад имени Михаила Фрунзе. В 1973 году был зажжен вечный огонь и создан мемориал памяти погибшим в Великой Отечественной войне.
Нынешний мемориальный комплекс-музей «Салют, Победа!» был торжественно открыт 6 мая 2005 года, к 60-й годовщине победы СССР над нацистской Германией. Музей является филиалом Оренбургского губернаторского историко-краеведческого музея.
Вход в сад им. М.В. Фрунзе свободный, ежедневно с 10:00 по 22:00 часов.

The museum was erected in a neglected park named after M.V. Frunze. The complex was inaugurated on May 6, 2005, to the 60th anniversary of the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany. The first visitors to the museum were veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The museum is a branch of the Orenburg Governor's Museum of History and Local Lore.

Russia: Children injured in Volgograd blasts transferred to Moscow
Two of the surviving victims from the Volgograd blasts - 3 months old Vika Tolkunova and nine-year-old Olga Ivanchenko - were taken away from hospital No 7. They are being transported on board a special medical plane AN-74 belonging to Russia's Federal Biomedical Agency (FMBA) to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital in Moscow for further treatment.
The decision to move both girls was taken by doctors on Tuesday after consultations with their parents.
Vika Tolkunova escaped heavy burns following Monday's terror blast targeting a trolleybus thanks to the baby blanket. However her mother and grandmother died in the attack.
