This is my first attempt at a Self Shot Travel Vlog!!! So please be nice.
Here is a quick look at one of my favourite festivals in the world, Fuji Rock Japan.
When booking everything, there was very limited info in english on the festival, so i will be coming out with my guide to Fuji Rock this weekend on the blog!
Hope this video conveys the amazing vibes of this one of a kind outdoor Japanese festival.

Fuji Rock Festival 2019 | Japan Vlog
I've always wanted to go to Fuji Rock Festival and finally this year I went! I was blown away by Janelle Monae, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Vince Staples... and literally flooded by the typhoon! My Dr Martens are now destroyed but I've finally done Fuji Rock Festival!

A serious personal situation affecting our bassist Simon arose after the Paleo Festival show on Thursday, and as a consequence Simon was unable to travel with us to Japan. Very reluctant to disappoint our wonderful Japanese fans, and after much discussion, we decided to go ahead with our ‘Fuji Festival’ headline on Sunday, with a very brave and very excellent Eden filling in on bass! We are all very grateful to Ed for reaching out across the generational divide to help us out, and join him in welcoming his dad back for our seven remaining summer festival shows . . . .

Pink shibazakura (moss phlox) spreads all over behind Mt. Fuji. Go and see this scenery only seen in spring.
The Fuji Shibazakura Festival held annually from April to June is an event only in the spring where you can walk among the scenery of 800,000 blossoms of shibazakura. The towering sight of Mt. Fuji beyond this carpet of flowers is impressive.

Fuji Shibazakura festival - Yamanashi - 富士芝桜まつり - 4K Ultra HD
Along with Hitachi Seaside Park’s Nemophila Harmony Festival, the Fuji Shibazakura Festival is yet another extremely popular flower festival located near Lake Motsu at the base of Mt. Fuji.
Each year for one month, mid-April to mid-May, people across Japan and from all over the world come in their thousands to enjoy a beautiful parterre of Shibazakura flowers (800,000) with Mt. Fuji in the background. If your time in Japan is limited and you can only visit one flower festival, the Fuji Shibazakura Festival is a MUST, but be ready to get there as early as possible, even during the week, in order to enjoy this place in peace!

Dans le même genre que le parc Hitachi et son festival Nemophila Harmony, le festival Fuji Shibazakura est un autre événement fleuri extrêmement populaire situé près du lac Motsu, au pied du Mont Fuji.
Chaque année pendant un mois, de mi-Avril à mi-Mai, les gens viennent par milliers de tout le Japon et même de l’étranger afin d’admirer le parterre de Shibazakura (quelques 800 000 fleurs) avec le Mont Fuji en toile de fond. FUJI ROCK 2018 | BIGGEST MUSIC FESTIVAL IN JAPAN !!
FUJI ROCK 2018!!! This is part one of the vlog of us driving to Niigata from Osaka (about 9 hour drive overall!). FUJI ROCK is the biggest music festival in Japan and it certainly isn't for the faint hearted. It is located in a mountain area ski field where it usually rains during this time. Like literally a typhoon hit the festival on the third night we were there (stay tuned for next vlog for that). But enjoy this vlog everyone. This vlog has a couple of performances including NERD and part two's vlog has Post Malone and Kendrick Lamar which were amazing.Don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe for part two of the festival -Morale definitely goes up and down for the duration of this festival haha! Albert Collins at Mt Fuji Festival 1992 - (The Iceman at Mount Fuji Festival)
The Iceman at Mount Fuji is a live recording from the 1992 Mt. Fuji Jazz Festival, capturing Albert Collins at the height of his powers in the year before his death. Collins was always an electrifying performer whether at a large festival or a small club, and this recording has his guitar way out front, as it should be. In fact, at many points during the set you can hear the ringing of his guitar on the verge of feedback. And his playing is fantastic; there is no holding back or playing it safe. He hits some clams here and there, but is just ripping through the entire set. The bandmembers are polished and professional (almost too much so), but when it comes time for solos, they acquit themselves admirably. There's just one problem with this album: in presenting both of Collins' sets that day, four songs are given two performances each and two of those songs (four of the 12 tracks total) account for more than half the playing time of the entire album! Both sets are excellent, but hearing virtually the same program twice is a bit much. Although the liner notes give a good history of Collins' career, the packaging really obscures the fact that this is two nearly identical sets, so let the consumer beware. Serious fans of Albert Collins' guitar playing will find a lot to enjoy here: the Iceman was on fire for this performance, but the duplication of tracks may prove to be a disappointment to more casual fans.
