Mechanical, underground bike parking maximizes space in Tokyo
With an estimated 9 million cyclists, Tokyo has a parking problem. Japanese engineering firm Giken Seisakusho believes the solution involves going underground. Their Eco Cycle underground bike parking is only 8.15 meters in diameter, but it can store up to 204 bicycles.
The idea began with underground car parking (Eco Park) 20 years ago. They later moved into parking bicycles below ground and today the firm has 47 Eco Cycle units: 28 in Tokyo and 19 in other Japanese cities.
Giken’s Tsunenobu Nozaki gave us a tour of one of their smart underground systems at Tokyo’s Hachioji Train Station that spins bikes into a parking spots as deep as 11 meters in just 13 seconds.

八王子花火大会 Hachiouji Fireworks Festival - part 2
I went to Hachiouji Hanabi Taikai, held at Fujimori park, to watch Hanabi on July 31 2010. I actually wanted to go Sumidagawa Hanabi Taikai (Sumida river fireworks festival), but as it is far away, and it must be crowed there, I gave up going there, and instead, I went Fujimori park. When I was little, my grandparents often took me there, and occasionally my family went watch Hanabi there together. Those were nice memories.

So, after watching hanabi, I went to yatai, Japanese street shops that are often seen at matsuri. This park didn't have many of it, but major matsuri have much more yatais, and there are many kinds of shops. Typical and popular ones are takoyaki, okonomiyaki, frankfurt sausage, yakisoba, crepe, wataame/watagashi (for kids), and maybe also kuji (lot).
I personally basically don't feel like eating those because I am not sure if it's clean...
