Fukidashi Park
Kyogoku Town in western Hokkaido is famous for its spring water which has been designated as a Hokkaido Heritage. One place where you can enjoy this mineral-rich spring water is the Fukidashi Park, located at the foot of Mt. Yotei. The springs gushing in this park flow at a rate of around 80,000 tonnes per day, with a temperature of around 6°C all year round. This water comes from the snow and rain that have fallen on Mt. Yotei, percolating through the rock for decades before bursting out as springs. Many people come to the park with plastic tanks and bottles to take home the refreshing spring water.

There are many well-known spring water outlets all over Hokkaido. One of the most famous is this Mt. Yotei outlet in the town of Kyogoku. It has been officially listed as one of Japan's best spring water spots for a quarter of a century.

Niseko Rusutsu Area :
The City of Sapporo is Hokkaidos major metropolis and an urban hub, but a stone throw away to the west of the city brings one to the reserved, gorgeous and great outdoors that is the Niseko and Rusutsu area.
At the heart of the Niseko and Rusutsu area is Mt. Yotei. Aside from its fame as a snow and ski resort, Mt. Yotei is also very famous for its water resource. Over a process that takes over fifty to one hundred years, snow and rainfall on Mt. Yotei cycle back as natural mineral spring water at the base. This natural spring water is called Yotei Fukidashi Spring Water, and since the Japan Ministry of Environment recognized it as one of the 100 best water sources in Japan, it has become a national as well as local hotspot for tourists.
