Sights and Sounds of Japan (Fukuyama, Myooin Temple, & Kusado Inari Shrine) 02182017
On a trip to Fukuyama I decided to wake up at 6:30 am and take a short walk to Myooin Temple and Kusado Inari Shrine. It was a cold and dreary morning so the lighting on my iPhone isn't the greatest. At Myooin Temple I saw a torii gate and decided to proceed under it to see where the path led. I ended up hiking up a small mountain under the rain and catching a nice view of Fukuyama. I will have an official edited video of the temple and shrine shortly. There will also be shots on my instagram page soon. No music, no narration - only the natural sounds and sights of Japan.

My hometown Fukuyama, Japan | cinematic video
Home, sweet home.
The view is my hometown, Fukuyama, Hiroshima prefecture which is along Inland sea.
After graduating high school, I left my hometown and I’ve not lived here ever since then.
I was born and raised up in this town and for me, this scenery and atmosphere had been nothing special.
But after growing up and coming back here, I realized that this environment was so special.
I’ve ever stayed in around hundreds of cities in the world.
Nevertheless, this town is apparently the best.
I really recommend you to stop by this calm town, then interact with friendly local people and enjoy the nice seaside scenery!

午前中は雨だったが午後から晴れて強風だった。
In January, 2014, I walked around in Tomonoura.
The morning was rainy, but it was fine from the afternoon and was a strong wind.
Exploring Myoo-in Temple (明王院) in Fukuyama, Hiroshima
On a trip to Fukuyama I decided to wake up at 6:30 am and take a short walk to Myoo-in Temple. It was a cold and dreary morning so the lighting on my iPhone isn't the greatest. At Myoo-in Temple I saw a torii gate and decided to proceed under it to see where the path led. I ended up hiking up a small mountain under the rain and catching a nice view of Fukuyama. The Myoo-in Temple is said to be constructed back in 807, with the main hall being constructed in 1321 and the pagoda in 1348. The Five Story Pagoda seen here is the 5th oldest Pagoda in Japan. The main object of worship at this site is a statue of an Eleven-faced Kannon. The temple has two National Treasures (the main hall and pagoda) and one Important Cultural Property (the Eleven-faced Kannon).
