Argentario divers - eng version
Where to start?
The fact that Italy has more UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other country on the planet?
That the food is tantalisingly close to perfection?
That the landscape, from beautiful island beaches to cypress tree-topped hills and soaring mountains, has something for pretty much everyone?
Suffice to say this is a country that gives France a run for its money as the perfect all round destination, and as with our Gallic friends, it's all there on our metaphorical doorstep. Lucky us.
Argentario Divers, Resort Padi and UTD is located in Porto Ercole, a charming village dating back to the eleventh century, overlooking the Argentario Mountain.
Porto Ercole is easy to reach from Rome, Florence, Siena, e Perugia.
The Centre is situated in front of the sea. It is open year round.

Well, the search has been stopped many months ago. We are just trying to continue with the recovery of the ship and once that's done, I know once it's over, they might find him under the ship.
(Reporter: What does it mean to your family?)
It means a lot to my family, because we are a Catholic family. It is important that we find the body my brother, so that he gets a decent burial. And that's very important.

8. SOUNDBITE (Italian), Kevin Rebello, brother of waiter (still missing) working on Costa Concordia:
Everything is still possible, everything can happen, his body could be still trapped. If he is under that ship sooner or later we will find something.

It is still in our minds, the memory of the night and the fact that we did our best to help and in one way or another we did something in a situation where our efforts were completely disproportionate. So we are also a little bit proud of what we managed to do. On the other hand there is also the memory of those faces, which were not talking, because they were cold, because the were speechless. They could not talk anymore, they had no voice anymore. They could not talk also because they were talking Russian, Indonesian, I can't remember which languages they were talking, but we could not communicate.

Costa Concordia Capsizes - 2012 | Today in History | 13 Jan 17
On January 13, 2012, the Italian luxury liner Costa Concordia ran aground off the Tuscan island of Giglio and flipped onto its side; 32 people were killed.
STORYLINE
Daylight on Saturday revealed the huge hulk of the stricken luxury cruise ship Costa Concordia, as it lay on its side on rocks off the Italian island of Giglo.
Three bodies have been recovered from the sea nearby after the ship ran aground off the coast of Tuscany, Italy, late on Friday, sending water pouring in through a 160-foot (50-metre) gash in the hull, and forcing the evacuation of some 4,200 people from the listing vessel early on Saturday, according to the Italian Coast Guard.
There were reports that three other people had died after the accident which occurred late on Friday night near the tiny Tuscan island of Giglio, but those reports were not yet confirmed, said Coast Guard Commander Francesco Paolillo.
Helicopters rescued some 50 people who were trapped on the ship, the Costa Concordia, after the liner listed so badly they couldn't launch lifeboats, Paolillo told The Associated Press in Rome by telephone from his command in the Tuscan port city of Livorno.
On a clear sunny Saturday, the ship could be seen lying virtually flat, its right-hand side submerged in the water.
The ship was on an eight-day pleasure cruise around Mediterranean ports.
When the ship ran aground the passengers were instructed to put on life jackets and take to the life rafts but witnesses said they couldn't get into the boats because the cruise liner was tilting so much the boats couldn't be lowered into the cold, night sea.
The passengers were eventually rescued by one of several boats in the area that came to their aid.
A painstaking search of the 290-metre (950-foot) long ship's interior was being conducted to see if anyone might be left trapped inside, Paolillo said.
Some 30 people were reported injured, most of them suffering only bruises, but at least two people were reported to be in a serious condition.
The evacuees were taking refuge in schools, hotels, and a church on the tiny island of Giglio - a popular vacation isle about 18 miles (25 kilometres) off Italy's central west coast.
Those evacuated by helicopter were flown to Grosseto, while others, rescued by local ferries pressed into emergency service, took survivors to the port of Porto Santo Stefano on the nearby mainland.
Paolillo said the exact circumstances of the accident were still unclear, but that the first alarm went off about 10:30 p.m local time (9.30pm GMT) on Friday, about three hours after the Costa Concordia had begun its voyage from the port of Civitavecchia, en route to its first port of call, Savona, in northwestern Italy.
Paolillo said the vessel hit an obstacle, but it wasn't clear if it might have hit a rocky reef in the waters off Giglio.
The Costa Concordia was believed to have set sail with 3,206 passengers and 1,023 crew members.
