Key West Charter Boat Fishing
We took a trip down to Key West. While we were there we climbed aboard the Salty Goat Fishing charter boat. Although we didn't have the most successful day of fishing (I believe due to a gentleman bringing a Banana on the boat) we still had a great time! Beverly and I only caught a couple non-keeper fish so we went on our merry way after the day was done. We got a tan and saw the beautiful Tarpon feeding dockside. After the boat we went to Dante's for a snack and then back to our Hostel the NYAH. Look out for more videos from our trip to come!

Flounder Fishing: Ideal Flounder Spots (With Capt. C.A. Richardson)
Want to see a great spot for catching flounder?
Then you've got to check out this tip from Salt Strong fishing coach Capt. C.A. Richardson.
Believe it or not, flounder is the most targeted and popular saltwater fish in the United States among recreational anglers.
When you think it about it, that makes a lot of sense for a couple reasons:
1. Flounder are found throughout the entire east coast, from Florida to Maine.
2. They are delicious to eat.
3. They put up a good fight and are fun to catch!
For this video, we decided to bring Capt. C.A. Richardson in to tell us his top tips for finding flounder spots.
You can see the full post here:
How To Find The Best Flounder Spots
C.A. said that are three main things he looks for when locating a good flounder fishing spot. Those things are the following:
1. Current
2. Structure
3. Bait
If you don’t know where to locate flounder, following the tips C.A. mentioned above is a great place to start.
Remember, current, structure and bait are the critical factors to consider. Finding spots with all three of these things will have you catching flounder — among other fish — quickly.
If you have any questions about this tip or flounder fishing, let us know in the comments below.

Captain Brian C. Profile - iTrekkers
My name is Capt Brian and I am a Fishing Guide in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. I provide guide services for West Central Florida including Tampa Bay and surrounding waters. It is my pleasure to work hard to put all of my clients in the right place for our targeted fish. I am very personable, patient, and easy going. I understand that the charter fishing experience on my boat is about the customer. I hope the following insight about me will help you learn more about my love for fishing. Fishing for me began as a small child in the state of Kentucky. My earliest memories are of my father and I fishing streams, ponds, rivers and lakes for various species of small game fish such as Bluegill, Redeye (Rock bass), Crappie, Smallmouth and Largemouth bass, or anything else that would bite. Somehow though, Dad always seemed to catch more fish. Upon moving to the Tampa Bay, Florida area in the late 80's, my father, still living in Kentucky, would often encourage me to put my knowledge of fishing freshwater to use in the numerous lakes Florida has to offer.
For some reason, I just couldn't keep my mind off of the big fish swimming in the Gulf of Mexico and the backwater flats behind the barrier islands. So, with a few questions at the local bait shop, and the company of a couple local friends, I began to explore the inshore waters of West Central Florida. As time passed, and my success in locating fish grew, I began entering some local tournaments. Without a boat, and with limited ways of keeping bait alive, I would trudge for hundreds of yards to the fishing holes. To my surprise, my fishing partner and I won a few of those tournaments. So, now armed with the know how to catch these inshore species, I bought a boat and began fishing tournaments around Tampa Bay and all over the state. Some of those included two years on the Mercury/Ranger Professional Redfish Tour, CCA's Red/Snook Series in Punta Gorda, Florida, as well as the many local events from Clearwater to Tarpon Springs.
After a few years, some more successful than others, I decided to take the necessary steps required to receive a United States Coast Guard license to be a Charter Fishing Guide. Now, 15 years later, I still get a thrill from putting my customers where the fish are. It is a great joy to see the faces of children and adults alike experiencing what the Florida West Coast has to offer.

Motor Boating - Lake Mead
Lake Mead is one of the largest reservoirs in the United States it holds up to 4 trillion gallons of water, and supplies water to over 25 million people in the States of California, Nevada and Arizona. The Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 blocking up the Colorado River in the Boulder Canyon. The water level is currently in drought mode but heavy snowfall this year should help fill it up. it is currently 148 feet below capacity at 1085 feet, with a full pool being 1229' which hasn't occurred since 1983. It's Crazy to see how much the water level fluctuates in this huge lake. if the lake level drops below 1075' it is considered drought conditions and they start rationing water in Nevada and Arizona, but not California because they have first priority on the water. If the lake level drops below 950' the hoover dam will lose its ability to generate electricity. in 2015 the completed a pipeline to extract water from a depth of 850'
