Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark visit Kanazawa and Funabashi
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan and various celebratory events are taking place throughout Japan. On October 9 and 10, Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark visited Kanazawa and Funabashi. Kanazawa is an old castle town and features beautifully preserved old streets and buildings. In Kanazawa, the royal couple visited one of Japan’s three most-famous gardens, Kenroku-en, and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary art. In Funabashi the Crown Princess visited the Funabashi H. C. Andersen Park, which was named after world-famous Danish children’s author Hans Christian Andersen. The park is one of the popular sightseeing destinations for many overseas visitors.

Japan Adventure July 31, 2019 #12. We begin our day on the bus going to the Tobu World Square. Once there we explore and find gigantic minitures of places, historic lands, buildings, an airport, temples, chrurches, towers, and more! It is awesome and a must see if you are in Nikko. It is a hot muggy day so we take a lot of breaks, have cold treats, refreshments and food! After spending a couple hours here we have lunch upstairs! After lunch we slowly make our way outside the Tobu World Square to the bus stop and catch the #3 to the Trick Art Museum. We explore and find so many realistic photo opportunities with the art work! Wow how do they do that? After spending some time there we leave and wait for the bus to take us back to the Kinugawa Station to soak our feet in the free hot footbath! We then head out to look for the Kinu-Tateiwa-Otsuribashi Suspention Bridge. We follow our app at leads up straight to and find it with a 10 min walk. Cheryl crosses the bridge, takes her pictures and then we head to 7-Eleven for dinner and snacks. We then return to the hotel, eat, shower and turn in for the night. Enjoy!

Hours: 10 am to 5：30 pm (Last admission is 30 minutes before closing)
Closed on Tuesdays, except open on holiday Tuesdays and closed on the following Wednesday. The museum is closed for during the holiday periods at year end, New Year and late August, and closed for exhibit changes in late May and middle November.
Entrance Fees
Adults: 1,800 yen
High school and university students and visitors 65 and older: 1,300 yen
Junior high school students:900 yen
Elementary school and younger children are admitted free of charge.
However, no more than two elementary school children per adult will be admitted.

10 minutes from the Mobara Kita Interchange on Ken-O expwy.

Chiba (千葉市 Chiba-shi?) is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
