Day Trip to St. Martins, New Brunswick, Canada: Visiting the Sea Caves + Fundy Trail Parkway
Come join us for a day trip to St. Martins, New Brunswick, Canada to visit the impressive sea caves and hike around Fundy Trail Parkway. Thanks to an invitation from our good family friends Joan and Garry, we had the opportunity to explore more of New Brunswick visiting some real hidden gems. The drive to Saint Martin's from Fredericton was incredibly scenic as we drove through serpentine forest roads.
Upon arriving in St Martin's we couldn't help but notice how lively it was given that there was a special home coming week taking place with about half of the local residents having big garage sales.
Our first stop was at an old grocery shop dating back to 1889 which also featured interesting souvenirs. We then headed out to visit the famous St Martin's Caves! To say they were impressive is an understatement. Visiting at various different times of the day ensures an entirely different experience depending on the tide. At certain times you can visit the caves by kayak.
From there we entered into Fundy Trail Parkway where we paid and entrance fee and drove down to Long Beach to walk along the beach and then have a delicious lunch buffet prepared by our hosts Garry and Joan.
We then continued into the park visiting the Interpretive Center, walking across a suspension bridge and going for a hike before visiting Fuller Falls.
Afterwards with seafood chowder and ice cream on our mind we headed back to St. Martin's where we first checked out some covered bridges before grabbing some delicious food.
We finished things off by visiting Red Rock before driving back to Fredericton. What an incredible day-trip in New Brunswick! Thanks again to our friends Joan and Garry for making it possible and if you have a chance to visit New Brunswick be sure to check it out as it is one of the more underrated provinces in Canada for tourism.

Not quite an hour's drive from where I live is a tourist and hikers paradise called the Fundy Trail Parkway. It is a spectacular drive and offers some really amazing trails for the intrepid (as well as the insecure) hiker. This place is a MUST see if you come to New Brunswick! I haven't been there in years and the place (roads & trails) have really expanded. I was blown away! The pictures just don't do the experience justice (as is often the case). Seely Beach - Fundy Trail Parkway, St Martins
This trail is a hour and a half hike (total). It is completely downhill as the trail descends to Seely Beach. It can be a little muddy after a heavy rain fall! The trail is well maintained, as I did do it in flipflops (We can't always be prepared LOL) This is a spot that is along the Fundy Footpath and is a must see in New Brunswick - A little piece of paradise!

Fundy Trail Parkway was a great family adventure on our 32 day road trip.
It was a great day hiking and biking!
Awesome suspended bridge and waterfall!
Its very close to Century Farm Family Campground.

The Fundy Trail is a 2,559 hectare/6,323 acre park featuring a 30 km/19 mile parkway hugging the southern coast of New Brunswick. With stunning views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy, the park has been carved out of the Fundy escarpment, one of the last remaining coastal wilderness areas between Florida and Labrador.
Visitors can drive the paved parkway that hugs the 250 m (820 ft) coastal cliffs, explore trails that connect to paths or stairways leading to pristine beaches and river estuaries, cross an 84 m (275 ft) suspension footbridge, see tumbling waterfalls and Precambrian rocks or stop by the interpretive centre and discover the rich history of a once thriving lumber industry. Fundy Trail is part of two UNESCO designated sites: the Fundy Biosphere Reserve and Stonehammer Global Geopark and home to the beginning of the Fundy Footpath hiking path, one of the top 50 hiking trails in the world!

Exploring the Fundy Trail - St Martin's & Sussex NB
May 26-28 2017 - The maiden voyage of our Coachmen Catalina was to Pinecone campground in Sussex NB. The weather was cold and chilly but we were nice and cozy. We spent some time touring the Fundy Trail Parkway and got some treats at Mrs. Dunster's bakery.
