Funivia Trento Sardagna andata e ritorno completo in Alta Definizione
Il tragitto Trento-Sardagna in funivia. Fortunatamente ero da solo ed ho potuto realizzare questo video in alta definizione!
Salita e discesa in funivia Trento-Sardagna

The Sardagna cableway is an aerial cableway that connects the city of Trento to its Sardagna district. Being the valley station in Trento (about 200 m asl), on the orographic left of the Adige , and the mountain station at Sardagna (about 600 m asl), the total difference in height is approximately equal to 400 meters; the travel time is instead equal to 4 minutes. The cable car is active every day of the week, from 7:00 am to 10:30 pm; on particularly windy days, the cableway is replaced by special buses. Among other things, it is possible to transport up to three bicycles inside.
The cable car has four ropes:
the carrier, 31 mm thick;
the tractor, 16 mm thick;
the ballast, 14 mm thick;
emergency, 11 mm thick.
The cableway designed in 1922 by the engineer Othmar Haas, built between 1923 and 1925 by the Officine Silvestri of Trento and opened on 4 August 1925. Originally the cable car route was slightly different. The valley station was located at the railway station, while the mountain station was directly inside the former Bellavista hotel. During the second world war, precisely in 1941, the plant underwent an initial bombardment which was immediately remedied. But in 1943 a second bombing destroyed the valley station. Only in 1960 the cableway was rebuilt by the company FTS - Funivia Trento Sardagna srl, moving the valley station. In 1989 the two cabins were replaced and the mountain station was moved further south, in order to be completely independent from the hotel. After this restoration, the cabins were equipped with an internal position light given that there are no intermediate poles.
On 2 November 2012, considerable damage was caused to the mountain station, breaking down windows and guards used for access. To date it is managed by Trentino Trasporti. In the spring, maintenance and testing are carried out annually to comply with applicable law.
There is a provincial project to promote a cableway that connects Trento to Mount Bondone that will allow you to arrive in Vason, with an intermediate stop in Vaneze, in about 18 minutes, or directly on the ski slopes . This project for 2015 cost 55 million, of which 35 only for the first route, or up to Sardagna, and the arrangement of the ex-sit car park in Trento. There are 35 left that should be provided by individuals.

Trento Funivia (Cable Car) - Panorama of City in the Alps
. A short trip on the funivia (cable car) in Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige Italy. In this video, you will see aerial views of the River Adige, the medieval church of S. Apollinare, Castello del Buonconsiglio, Trento cemetery, the Duomo (Cathedral) of San Vigilio, and a panorama of the alpine city of Trento and the surrounding Dolomites. You’ll see the ride up and down Monte Bondone from inside the cable car, and a few scenes of the village of Sardagna at the top of the mountain. Places to see in ( Trento - Italy ) Doss Trento
The Doss Trento ( Dòs Trènt in Trentino dialect ) is a small hill that stands on the right bank of the river Adige in the district of Piedicastello of the capital of Trentino. It is a spur that at its highest point reaches 309 m asl , rising more than a hundred meters from the bottom of the valley floor, and is covered by 8 hectares of forest. Together with the Dosso di San Rocco and the Dosso Sant'Agata they form the three teeth of the ancient Roman Tridentum. The Doss Trento was portrayed in 1495 by the painter Albrecht Dürer in watercolor Trintperg .
The original name of Doss Trento is Monte Verruca. This is a name given by the Roman settlers who no doubt remembers the strange shape of the mountain which, if viewed from above, looks like an annoying wart . The Romans gave this name presumably by observing the mountain from the town of Sardagna , from which there is a clear vision of the particular hilly conformation.
From a geological point of view , the Doss Trento is part of a landscape resulting from the modeling of the glacial / postglacial quaternary cycles, with regard to the last and most profound exhaustion effected by the Würmiano glacier in the Valle dell'Adige.
The particular morphology, which makes it a separate relief from Monte Bondone , can be explained by the erosion of the glacial flow and later the river concentrated in a zone of mechanical weakness due to the presence of a fault placed between the Verruca and the eastern slopes of Monte Bondone . This deformation zone also poses some problems with the stability of the western slope of the relief.
The Doss Trento was affected by human presence since prehistoric times . In the North-East side, in a rocky shelter, the skull of an adult man and the bony remains of two Neolithic children were found in 1890. On the Doss Trento are the remains of the perimeter of an early Christian basilica [5] (clear sign of the historical importance of this mountain for the city). It is probable that this church has settled on an ancient Rhaetian castelliere (used, and perhaps modified, probably by the Romans ), from which some derive the name of the underlying district of Piedicastello.
In September 1938 an executive committee was set up for the construction of the so-called alpine acropolis on the Doss Trento (which included several works, only partially realized, including a national historical museum of the Alpini ). To this end, the committee ordered the construction of a new access road to the summit of the hill (then called the Strada degli Alpini ): the design was entrusted to the town hall of Trento, and the execution to a detachment of troops from the then five Alpine divisions, which during the works involved an average of 270 units, exceeding three hundred units in the summer of 1942 .

[FS] Trains in Trento, Italy
27 iunie 2011
