Hokkaido Road Trip 2019 - Furano, Biei, Otaru, Cape Kamui, Mt. Yotei
Trip to Chitose, Yubari, Furano, Biei, Otaru, Mt. Cape Kamui, Mt. Yotei, Lake Toya, Lake Shikotsu.
5 day trip in a 7 seater Mitsubishi Delica around Hokkaido, We covered over 1,000km staying at Airbnb in Sapporo, Furana, Otaru & Mt.Yotei.
Driving in Hokkaido is a breeze. Most place have ample parking, drivers are very disciplined and navigation via Waze, Google Maps or the vehicle's GPS is quite straight forward.
We had the best food and sights! We had soft serve ice cream every place we stopped and it was soo good!
Car rental site. We pre-booked before our trip and we were picked up by the car rental company at bus stop #30 outside the domestic Airport in Chitose

***Japan With Me - Episode 11 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** Welcome, welcome. Today I'm taking to one of the most beautiful trips I took in Japan. First thing first, the best way to go to Furano Lavender Farm and the Blue Pond is to pre-order a local tour in Sapporo. It usually costs between 6000 to 9000 yen, depends on the package. This is the best way as they will pick you up from Sapporo station in a van or bus and do a whole day tour but remember to pre-book or buy the trip several days in advance. Otherwise you can do like us by just buying the train tickets and the private tour at the Furano train station. Anyway, it was such a hard time for us as the sky was raining most of the time even though it's in Summer time still. Hahaha, Japanese summer is way different than Australian summer. We woke up really early that morning and had a huge breakfast at 7 Eleven, it was cheap and fulfilling! That train ride to Furano was smooth and easy but quite expensive as it costed us 6500 yen each for a return ticket. Initially, we planned to just catch the train and arrive at the other nearby train next to the lavender farm but due to the flood in July in Japan. We decided to buy the private tour at 4000 yen. At the Lavender farm, it was called Tomita Lavender Farm. The soft-cone ice-cream was pretty cool! Hope you enjoy it! Next episode is about the Blue pond in Biei. Thank you very much for watching. Here is the translation in some scenes about something new that we found and something amazing.
-- On the way from Noboribetsu to Otaru.
The tunnel here which located among the mountains made us feel like we were in a theme park.
--We had a chance to check out some public restroom. And we really enjoyed spending time there in five stars restroom.
--Again in the car continued heading to Otaru, we all said the same that We feel like the town is as similar as Darjeeling. And mom revealed her truth about loving Paan ( an Indian betel leaf and a areca nut) that Paan is just 5 rupees but Paan can make the cleanliness in the mouth last so long. And she really missing'em.
-- Checking out Otaru cute town.
-- After came back from Otaru Music Box Museum, two taxi cars kept a space between each other so huge.
-- We found Lawson here a lot unlike Thailand.
-- In Sapporo, we were confused about a public transit whether it's a bus or it's a tram.
-- The intersection in Sapporo and Shibuya are completely different. Shibuya is too crowded.
-- Again come back on riding and observing the nature from Sapporo to biei
-- Strawberry and melon here are absolutely awesome! I love it!
-- At last Farm Tomit, Nakafurano-chō. Mom said Such a nice smell. It smells like a herbal flower.
-- Mom asked me are you making a video for this trip too and I said yes . Mom suggested herself Yeah I would prefer watching your video May.

Summer in Sapporo | OTARY DAY TOUR | Otaru Canal and Music Box Museum
For Day 4, we visited the beautiful city #OTARU. It's known for the seafood, the #OtaruCanal, the glass shops and souvenir shops, the Music Box museum, and the colorful buildings with western influences. We went there from probably 10am till before it got dark, around 5pm. Technically spent the whole day there. We used trains for transpo and basically DIYed the tour. Everything is all walking distance from each other and their is a tourist center right at the Otaru Canal just in case google maps doesn't work. The day was very calm and refereshing. Otaru is definitely a must when you visit #Hokkaido.
