Enjoy watching beautiful autumn leaves at Kyu-Furukawa Gardens, one of the best Tokyo spots to surround yourself with traditional Japanese landscapes. It has Western-style garden (rose garden) and the Japanese gardens. Though the rose garden was not in full bloom, it was nice to see both colorful #autumnleaves and roses at the same time.I used GoPro HERO 7 Black and the full clip was recorded in 4K. The western-style building and western-style garden were designed by British architect Josiah Conder.

We only one day left on our Japan Rail Pass and decided to use it, by traveling out of Tokyo to Nikko, which is 140 kilometres north of the city.
Nikko is a popular tourist city that has a population of over 90,000.
Ranging in elevation between 200 to 2,000 meters, the mountains west of the main city are part of the Nikkō National Park and contain some of the country's most spectacular waterfalls and scenic trails.

Shirakawa-go is located in Gufu Prefecture in Japan and is famous for the old houses having thatch roof. It was enrolled in a world heritage in 1995 and is also famous as the world heritage people is living. Shirakawa-go is always beautiful but Autumn is one of the best season for visiting because of the autumn leaves.

This road is popular among tourists as the colored leaves road. You can feel nature everywhere. The high season is from the middle of October to the middle of November. Red, yellow and orange leaves are waiting for you!
Jogakura Bridge - Hakkoda
Jogakura Bridge's autumn view. From the 122 metre bridge are views of Hakkoda's mountains, tree covered hills, Aomori City and a winding river. Jogakura Bridge is accessible from Aomori station by bus or by car. The view of the fiery orange hills against a backdrop of mountains and blue skies is magnificent.

Takayama Autumn Festival & Food
So I finally arrived at Takayama, which is the main attraction of my Japan solo trip. Over there, I was lucky enough to participate and witness their annual festival at Takayama, the Autumn Festival. The festival is held around Takayama town. There were some praying events and celebrations going on which is very interesting to see. There were also many stalls opened besides the river selling all kinds of food and snacks. Also, tasting the loacl Hida beef is necessary!
