Today I did some exploring through Zamami Island to see what you can get into here. Fantastic snorkeling! For sure the best beach I have seen since Hawaii. Not to mention amazing penut tofu which I never even knew was a thing until I visited.

Sesoko, Yagaji & Kouri Islands- Okinawa
So much to explore in Okinawa Japan. We decided to go island hopping and visited Sesoko island, Yagaji island and Kouri island. They are all beautiful in their own way but Kouri island really looks and feels like paradise, the perfect vacation spot.

なぜか沖縄にやってきています。
そして、なぜか恩納村のリゾートに泊まりました。
午前中にダイビングをしまして。
お昼ご飯を食べます。
せっかくなので地元の沖縄食堂へ。
タクシーの運転手さんに教えてもらったお店です。
石川の駅。
ステーキやそばのほかに。
沖縄料理も豊富にラインナップ。
あたしは好きなふーチャンプルーをいただきました。
パンチのきいたおいしいふーチャンプルーでした。

I stayed in a resort hotel in Onna-son.
I dived in the morning.
I eat Okinawa dish for lunch.
That's the restaurant the taxi driver introduced.
The restaurant has the abundant kinds of Okinawa dishes.
I ate Fu-Channpuru.
That's very good.

Okinawa Glassworks
After World War 2 the American soldiers would carelessly throw their coke and beer bottles on the beautiful unspoiled beaches of Okinawa. After cleaning up, the local people got a good idea! They built an oven out of rocks, melted the bottles till they went flat, then with a stick, made a few small grooves in the glass. Then they sold what they made back to the GI's as souvenir ashtrays. Fast forward 60 years, the Okinawans have created a cottage industry around glassworks and can be proud of the amazing things they have created. On a recent trip to Okinawa the boys got a chance to try their hand at working with glass. It was pretty cool!
From trash on the beach to this amazing, functional, beautiful artwork. It just goes to show you, again, that sometimes and one man's trash is another man's treasure.
