Destination: Philippines, in effect, endeavors to positively portray Philippines as a must-see travel destination at home and internationally, not only because of its enviable, extraordinary and impressive tourism potentials but also due to its vital and substantial efforts to make travel and tourism more sustainable.
In essence, Destination: Philippines is about having fun on vacation without hurting the environment!

Ilagan Sanctuary : A Nature Discovery (byahe ni kulets)
From the City Proper of Ilagan, which is the capital of Isabela, one must ride a jeepney/tricycle bound for Sta. Victoria to reach the most visited tourist spot in Ilagan City now famously known to be the Ilagan Sanctuary. This Nature Discovery that Isabelino take pride of is 15 kilometers away from the City proper. It is a part of the Fuyot Springs National Park located in the mountain slopes of Barangay Santa Victoria in Ilagan.

Part of the 819-hectare Fuyot Springs National Park bordering the town of Tumauini, Ilagan Sanctuary is a protected area located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range in Brgy. Santa Victoria, Ilagan City, Isabela. Among the natural attractions are Santa Victoria Caves, river-hiking to Pinzal Falls and viewing endemic and exotic animals at the mini-zoo like Philippine deer, Philippine crocodiles and Bengal tigers. Ilagan, (Ibanag: Siudad nat Ilagan; Ilokano: Siudad ti Ilagan; Filipino: Lungsod ng Ilagan), officially the City of Ilagan, is a 2nd class city and capital of the province of Isabela, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 145,568 people making it the most populous city in the province.
With a total land area of 116,626 hectares (288,190 acres), it is the largest city in the island of Luzon and the fourth largest city in land area in the Philippines, after Davao City, Puerto Princesa and Zamboanga City. It holds the title as the most number of voters in the province with 88,413 voters.
Ilagan was a first class municipality before it become a city.
