Marvel Cinematic Universe at GOMA - Brisbane, Australia
Over the last weekend we got a chance to finally check out the huge Marvel Cinematic Universe exhibition at Brisbane's GOMA. This exhibition is honestly HUGE! As a bit of a Marvel fan boy myself, I went into this with high hopes, and I will tell you now, I was not disappointed. The experience brings over 500 props, costumes and full sets to life using some impressive technology, and take over the entire bottom floor of GOMA.

GoMA's new exhibit 'Water' opens in Brisbane on December 12, 2019 | 7NEWS
Nearly 100 artworks will be on show as part of the Gallery of Modern Art's 'Water'. The new exhibition will run until April 26. Nothing is so necessary to humanity’s flourishing as water, or so important to our local, daily survival. As a resource, water is in such scarcity in parts of our state, country and indeed the world, and yet it remains intrinsic to our weather cycles, climate and food chain, said GoMA Director Chris Saines.

APT9 performance/ Enkhbold Togmidshiirev in Brisbane
DELVE DEEPER into APT9 / Enkhbold Togmidshiirev staged an improvised roving performance in the outdoor spaces surrounding GOMA from 10.00am on Sunday 25 November 2018 for the opening weekend of APT9, as part of his ongoing Ger Project. Since 2008, Enkhbold has created a number of personalised structures derived from the form of the traditional Mongolian ger or yurt, in order to forge a connection with his surroundings. Setting up a ger creates a temporary home that Enkhbold equates to a spiritual space.
The performance commenced on the the Kurilpa Bridge, with Enkhbold making his way across the bridge before concluding the performance in the GOMA Forecourt.
Free, and curated for audiences of all ages, the APT series 'The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art' (APT9) overflows with colour and life and profiles artworks by more than 80 artists, groups and projects from over 30 countries, and is presented across the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). The 9th edition of APT, QAGOMA’s flagship exhibition series, continues to foster the development and presentation of the world's most significant works of contemporary Asian, Pacific and Australian art since 1993.

BRISBANE: Unique ABORIGINAL (INDIGENOUS) AUSTRALIAN ART, MUSEUM OF MODERN ART ????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) which is an art museum located in the South Bank precinct of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. GOMA opened on 2 December 2006 and it is situated on Kurilpa Point and it faces the Brisbane River and the CBD. We are going to view the Indigenous Art collection which has a focus on contemporary art, including paintings, sculpture and a collection of contemporary Indigenous Australian fibre art from across the country, with objects made from natural and introduced materials.
Brisbane, capital of Queensland, is a large city on the Brisbane River. Clustered in its South Bank cultural precinct are the Queensland Museum and Sciencentre, with noted interactive exhibitions. Another South Bank cultural institution is Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, among Australia's major contemporary art museums. Looming over the city is Mt. Coot-tha, site of Brisbane Botanic Gardens.
Australia is a country and continent surrounded by the Indian and Pacific oceans. Its major cities – Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide – are coastal. Its capital, Canberra, is inland. The country is known for its Sydney Opera House, the Great Barrier Reef, a vast interior desert wilderness called the Outback, and unique animal species like kangaroos and duck-billed platypuses.

This summer in Brisbane is all about finding somewhere cool to spend the day, surrounded by water. If that sounds like paradise, QAGOMA’s latest summer blockbuster has incredible experiences to make your summer the best yet.
Walk across a vast, rocky riverbed created by Olafur Eliasson; see animals from around the world gather together to drink from Cai Guo-Qiang’s brilliant blue waterhole; gaze at Peter Fischli and David Weiss’s snowman frozen in Brisbane’s summer heat; traverse a cloud of suspended gymnastic rings in a participatory artwork by William Forsythe; view the tidal currents rise and fall around Angela Tiatia; reflect on the cultural traditions of bodies of water, including the Brisbane River, with Judy Watson; and on the long history of our reliance on water through Megan Cope’s re-created midden... and so much more!

COSPLAY at GOMA Brisbane | Australia Day 2012
We celebrate our first-ever Cosplay event showcasing the costuming talents of our local Cosplay community. Congratulations to all those who rocked the day!
Presented in conjunction with the Gallery's 'Drawn to Screen: Graphic Novels, Comics and Serials' film program, GOMA celebrated the art of 'costume play' with an eruption of colourful costumes, gravity defying wigs, props and excited cosplayers of all ages.
Our contestants sashayed across the stage — stopping frequently to pose for a delighted audience — before sharing the secrets of their fantastic character recreations with host John Robertson. With an audience overflowing from inside the cinema into the Gallery foyer — GOMA celebrated Australia Day 2012 in pure Cosplay style.
