Explore Oslo from Just One Tram Ride
Join us for a real time, guided tram ride. We travel through the city and explore all its colors and nuance’s. Want to know what to do in Oslo if you have some hours to spend as a visitor here? Or, you just want an authentic and exotic inside tour of the capital in Norway, behind the tourist attractions? Watch this video. In the end we will present a secret gem, a park to hang out with the locals. Tram 12 covers most of inner city – and drives from the east to the west side. The differences are striking. Both in scenery and in culture.
This is a real-life experience on a packed and warm tram with dirty windows covered in graffiti. You will enjoy beautiful scenery, the ocean, people in the streets, parks, houses, monuments, stores, cafes, bars and a lot more. You will get tips for a cool, but unknown shopping street, where you can buy contemporary Norwegian design and enjoy an organic meal. We will show you the diversity in food options and ride by the cool bars and clubs.
Ronald will explain what you see and be your guide. Mads will be the sidekick and record the whole ride and the little episodes that occur along the route. Ronald knows this tram route inside out and will share his knowledge and enthusiasm for Oslo. Mads is not so found of moving too far from home. You will learn new stuff about Norwegians and maybe change the way you see these people and culture. Even though this is a small city, its very divided. The rich, posh west end with high life expectancy and healthy habits. The diverse hipster area mixed with poverty and drug addicts on the east side.

Douglas Murray Talk On Immigration and Islam + Q&A @ Oslo, Norway 30.08.2018
Hosted by Document.no at Oslo Military Society
Douglas Murray is an author and journalist based in Britain.
His latest publication, The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam, was published by Bloomsbury in May 2017. It spent almost 20 weeks on The Sunday Times bestseller list and was a Number 1 bestseller in non-fiction. It has subsequently been published in more than 20 languages worldwide and has been read and cited by politicians around the world. The Evening Standard described it as ‘By far the most compelling political book of the year.’ It was praised by, among others, Nick Cohen, Sir Roger Scruton, Clive James, Morrissey and Rabbi (Lord) Jonathan Sacks, who described it as ‘The most disturbing political book I’ve read this year. Based on travels through key European centres, Murray weaves a tale of uncontrolled immigration, failed multiculturalism, systemic self-doubt, cultural suicide and disingenuous political leadership. Accurate, insightful and devastating.’
Pro-Tiger protesters break into Lankan embassy in Oslo
Pro-Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) - also called Tamil Tigers - demonstrators broke into the Sri Lankan embassy during a protest in the Norwegian capital Oslo on Sunday, smashing windows and furniture, but no one was hurt, say reports.
The protest, the first of several by Tamil Tiger supporters in recent weeks to turn violent, followed a march by around 100,000 people in London on Saturday to demand a ceasefire between Sri Lankan forces and the LTTE.
They damaged windows and broke some things inside and then disappeared -- we have not caught anyone, police officer Tor Groettum said.
Tamils began demonstrating in Oslo last week to pressure Norway, one of four nations heading Sri Lankas peace process, to use its influence to stop the military operations against the Tigers in the country.
Sri Lankas President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Sunday ordered the military not to attack the Tamil Tigers during a two-day holiday to let thousands of civilians escape a government declared no-fire zone where they are being held by the separatists.

Norwegian Gossip /LOVE SCANDALS In Norway
What's on Norwegian front pages? Travel like a local, dive into the authentic Norwegian culture and love life. Enjoy some fresh and breathtaking Norwegian gossip. Real stories about 3 sensational love couples. They shock the nation and dominates the front pages. It's all about power, fires, fish, politicians, manipulation, the police, spies, shaman, angels and a real Norwegian princess at the end of the video.
Love is universal, this funny video shows how famous Norwegians express their romance in public. For all of us to engage in, talk about and of course giggle and laugh about. Love makes you blind, they say. See what happens when 3 people of power in Norway crash into all the traps of love.
In this sarcastic video, you will learn a lot about the Norwegian mentality, our relationship to our Royal family, about or political systems and about how mixed relationships are perceived in this country. This satiric video also takes you right into the local conversation around the lunch table at work, when Norwegian friends and family meet and what we share on social media. It works perfect as a conversation starter or a lubricant topic when socializing with introverted and shy Norwegians.
Ronald and Mads are at their favorite pub in Oslo, Café Isabella, with candles and roses. Ronald presents the couples with relevant background and outcome. He roasts the lovebirds in such a harsh way, that Mads gets nervous and paranoid and tries to tone Ronald a bit down. But it is useless, Ronald is trigged and lashes out at the most powerful players and laughs about their shortcomings.
Are you the type of traveler or tourist who likes to look at the front pages of glossy gossip magazines in the country you visit? Then this is the perfect video for you. Welcome to the wonderful and foolish world of Norwegian love.

Norway no longer feasible to be facilitator 13/04/2009
The Government perceives that it is no longer feasible for Norway to act as facilitator in the engagement with Sri Lanka in the current context.
In an official protest lodged with the Norwegian Ambassador in Colombo today, the Government stated it is deeply regretted that Norway had failed in discharging its obligations under international law. A statement issued by the Government said Norway had not perceived the necessity to place a static guard to provide security cover to the Sri Lankan Embassy despite repeated requests made. It is deplorable that this act of terror had taken place within hours of the Presidential directive to the Armed Forces to restrict operations of a defensive nature to give the civilian population entrapped as hostages by the LTTE, the opportunity to celebrate the New Year in a suitable atmosphere.
It was fortunate that none of the staff of the Sri Lanka Embassy had been hindered due to their absence from the diplomatic premises. The outrageous act of terror committed by the LTTE in Oslo should demonstrate to Norway the true character of the LTTE. Further, it displays that repeated concessions made by the Sri Lankan Government had been treated only with contempt by the LTTE. In these circumstances, the statements said the Government perceives that it is no longer feasible for Norway to serve as facilitator in its engagement with Sri Lanka in the current context. The Government of Sri Lanka strongly urged Norway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice immediately.
Bicycle superhighway: Norway pours US$923m into massive bike-only road plan for cities - TomoNews
OSLO, NORWAY — Norway has invested in the development of a network of highways for cyclists.
The country has announced that it will spend 8 billion Norwegian Kroner (US$923 million) on 10 broad, two-lane, cross-country bike tracks in and near Norway’s nine largest cities. The highway will allow longer-distance cyclists to travel with a speed and safety hitherto impossible.
The new paths will create bike commuter links between inner cities and outer suburbs. It will extend the protected cycle network out from urban cores through the commuter belt and into the countryside.
The highway will not be tracks linking cities across hundreds of miles, at least not initially.
In the absence of cars, the highway will allow cyclists to travel up to 40 kilometers (25 miles) per hour, making long-distance travel more realistic.
The bike highway is part of the new National Transit Plan to clean up Norway’s transit pollution. According to the plan, by 2030, 75 percent of the country’s buses and 50 percent of its trucks must be low-emission, while 40 percent of its short-distance ships and ferries (an important means of transit in Norway) must be either low emission or use biofuels.
If the bike highway succeeds, it should take pressure off roads and public transit and help cut Norway’s usage of fossil fuels.
Norway’s vision doesn’t stand alone. In 2014, an elevated bike path was proposed for London by design firm Norman Foster. The futuristic cycle highway was designed as 220 km of car-free routes installed above London's suburban rail network and would accommodate 12,000 cyclists per hour. And Netherlands famous suspended bike path, the Hovenring, conceived in 2008, has become a landmark. The cycle path roundabout in the province of North Brabant is the first of its kind in the world.

Democracy Under Attack in EU: Sri Lanka Emabssy Was Attacked in Oslo, Norway
Watch! Norways' Double Standards on War on Terrorism
Sri Lankan Embassies in Oslo, Norway was Attacked by Pro-Tigers supporters in Tamil Diaspora . It is no longer feasible for Norway to act as facilitator in the engagement with Sri Lanka in the current context -GOSL. Tamil Tigers is a Terrorist Organization which fight for a Tamil only state called Tamil Eelam in North-East of Sri Lanka. Last 25 year Tamil Tigers ethnically cleansed Sinhalese, Muslims in North and East of Sri Lanka. Norway, UK, USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA protected, defended and promoted Tamil Protests in West demanding ceasfire to save LTTE from advancin Sri Lankan security forces. Tamil Tigers are retrieving unable to retaliate advancing troops. The attacks on diplomatic missions are violation of international law. the host country is legally bound to protect diplomatic missions. This is an evidence lawlessness and double standards of War Against Terrorism by Noway.
Measures to prevent and combat terrorism
1.To refrain from organizing, instigating, facilitating, participating in, financing, encouraging or tolerating terrorist activities intended to be committed against other States or their citizens.
2.To cooperate fully in the fight against terrorism, in accordance with our obligations under international law, in order to find, deny safe haven and bring to justice, on the basis of the principle of extradite or prosecute, any person who supports, facilitates, participates or attempts to participate in the financing, planning, preparation or perpetration of terrorist acts or provides safe havens.
3.To ensure the apprehension and prosecution or extradition of perpetrators of terrorist acts, in accordance with the relevant provisions of national and international law, in particular human rights law, refugee law and international humanitarian law.
4.To intensify cooperation, as appropriate, in exchanging timely and accurate information concerning the prevention and combating of terrorism .
It is like saying the west can have sauce for the goose but the east must be satisfied with vinegar. More and more the statements that come from the west suggest mischief or some kind of a conspiracy against countries like Sri Lanka to keep them in a state of want and poverty. May be they want us just to be consumers especially arms.
Democracy in EU is under attack due to practice of double standards and violation of counter terrorism policies by US-EU politicians. Despite repeated requests by SL Government's to strengthen the security of all its diplomatic missions in EU, many Sri Lanka missions were attacked within EU. EU sponsored Attacks on Sri Lanka Missions. eg:
1. The Hague, the Netherlands
2. Oslo, Norway. (video )
No EU/police investigations or arrests made to bring perpetrators to justice.
The International Law was violated at its birth birthplace, the Hague, the city of law. The city where International Criminal Court is located and the place where state leaders are brought to justice for the crimes committed against humanity.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
