Gadao's Cave in Inarajan, Guam
My family history begins in this cave, which is sacred not only because of its ancient calligraphy, but because it is the birthplace of my grandfather, Jesus Naputi Diego, whose mother, Rosalia Naputi Diego, ascended to heaven that day. This cave sheltered my family from life's storms, be it war, persecution, or typhoon. I'm proud of my grandpa's heritage because he was saved by American soldiers in 1944 and became one in 1950. He translated all hardship to goodness and died my hero on April 23, 2017.

This vlog me and my family enjoy another family sunday, but this time at our family beach. I make the most of my time going swimming and taking my nephew, nieces, and my lil cousin to gadao's cave. We took our time hiking for about 5 minutes before entering the Gadao's Cave. The hike was easy. The Cave was small. The Point was the best part of the trip. All of the rocks are jagged. I recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, flashlights, shoes with good grip that you don't mind getting wet, change of cloths in your car as you will be getting wet if you swim, A phone to call for help and another person.

About an hour drive to the south end of the island. The night sky down there is pretty great. Sadly, though, I missed the sunset.

Caves on Guam
Asiga Caves, Malojloj, Guam. A nice, tricky trail, with fantastic cliff views, steep descents, 2 nice caves--1 with a fresh water pool deep at the bottom, the other with multiple claustrophobia-inducing tight squeezes deep below.

People share their stories about the village, ancient legends, and the tradition of the Fiesta. Young dancers explain why they are participating in a unique tourism project designed to help preserve and carry on the culture of Guam. This video was awarded a Governor of Guam Award for Excellence in the Humanities
