Naritasan Shinsho-ji (成田山新勝寺)Temple, Narita, Near Tokyo, Japan
Naritasan Shinsho-ji (成田山新勝寺) Temple is located in Narita, near Tokyo, Japan. Narita is part of Chiba prefecture and the Tokyo International Airport is in Narita.
Naritasan Temple belongs to the Shingon Buddhist sect that was founded by the revered priest Kobo Daishi (Kukai). The temple itself was founded by Head Priest Kancho Daisojo in 940 A.D. The principal deity is called Fudomyo-o (Acalantha). The temple garden contains bronze statues of the disciples of the principal deity.
Naritasan temple is a very large temple with sprawling temple grounds and many auxiliary buildings and temples, some are very older than the main Hondo. The Hondo itself is a newer construction but the other buildings in the precincts like Komyo-do Hall, Shaka-do Hall and Gaku-do Hall are very old and designated as Important Cultural Properties by the Japanese government.
I urge, foreign travelers to eastern Japan, not to miss visiting this temple because it is closer to Tokyo and indeed a very beautiful temple.
Chiba Naritasan Shinshoji Temple - 成田山 - 4K Ultra HD
Chiba Naritasan Shinshoji Temple - 成田山 : Founded in 940 by Kanchō Daisōjō, a disciple of Kōbō Daishi, Naritasan (Narita-san) Shinshoji (Shinsho-ji) is a Shingon Buddhist temple located in central Narita, and near Narita airport.
Despite its age, Naritasan remained a remote and humble temple until Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川 家康) moved his capital to Edo in 1603. Only then did Naritasan Shinshoji, both in fame and size, start to grow. As for today, the temple features many different buildings including the gorgeous two-storey Great Pagoda of Peace located far behind the main hall, as well as a colorful and more traditional three storey pagoda adjacent to the great main hall. Located a short walk from the great main hall you will find the Shakado Hall, Gakudo Hall (under renovation when this video was shot), the Komyodo Hall and even a museum dedicated to Japanese calligraphy!

And, ring that bell like it's Christmas morning! (Also, because I hear they don't celebrate Xmas the same here . . .)
You ever have something super hectic happen, even though you had a plan, but then your plans change, and yet the gods that control the Japanese weather decide mortals need another reminder of their feebleness?
Well, that's pretty much what happened here!
We had heard, literally the day before, confirmation that this day was going to be THE LAST EVER Sunflower Festival held in Takanabe. Like. Ever. Like ever, man.
So, we rushed up there all the way from Kushima (where we live now, and very nearly almost biked the 100km+), in order to beat the Category 2 Hurricane equivalent Typhoon that was blowing in the next day. Not wanting to die, we got a ride from our new friend Gaku, who was kind enough to take us.
And, when we arrived . . .
We discovered that all the PREVIOUS typhoons that have been wrecking southern Japan with weeks worth of nonstop torrential rains, heavy winds, and dark skies have caused this year's sunflower crop to be a bit down in the dumps. Seriously, apparently this season has been exceptionally, uncharacteristically rainy and storm filled, and has caused some notable landslides in the Kumamoto area. Now, this place is known for having weather like this, but it's also known for being THE sunniest place in Japan, hence the sunflowers.
Yet, I'm glad we made it! And, I'm even more glad to discover that the festival WILL BE CONTINUING! Yippee! So, now all of us will have many more chances to see the sunflowers in their full, turgid glory.
But, wanting to make a day out of our roadtrip through Miyazaki Prefecture, we also made a stop at one of Gaku's favorite udon restaurants. This was my first time ever trying udon, but I've always wanted to taste the cold variety!
Just as well, on our way back, we made a nice long stop at the Summer Night Market in Aoshima, just south of Miyazaki city proper. This Night Market is a gorgeous affair, lined with candle-lit lanterns across a seaside park, speckled with local vendor booths, and sporting plenty of live music. Plus, it's near some top-notch botanical gardens that are worth browsing. Though I suspect, unless you can read Japanese halfway decently, you may have some difficulty. But, if memory serves, there are English accommodations as well!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this shorter video and are excited for more to come! Thanks for watching, and experiencing Japan in Tandem.

旭川空港 Pushback&Takeoff (JAL MD-90 JA8029) Asahikawa Airport
From pushback of Skymark that takes a picture in Asahikawa Airport to take offTrees around the airport beautifully turn red taken on October 30, 2010, and a great peak in the heavy snow mountain range is filled with the snow. It would be greatly appreciated about the taking a picture travel if it could refer though there is a part where being possible to do is not good either because it was machine parts at the photograph center. The taking a picture place is a field of along the on the way that runs in parallel to the glide slope on the airport west side and the other side of the terminal. It copies and it is possible to crowd at the heavy snow mountain and the RWY34 approach the snow mountain of Furano Gaku etc. the background. in front of this place in [junhika] from the afternoonIt differs from the airport in the center of a city, and the stepladder is not necessary. I think that attention is necessary so as not to become troubled in the other because I will pull up a car to the farming route though the taking a picture point is abundant. It is Asahikawa Airport, and a beautiful highest airport.

Hakone Tent Video Tour - Hakone, 4/29/17
On our second day in Japan, we visited the giant Buddha on our way to Hakone, a mountain town. Here we are staying in our first Air BnB, the Hakone Tent. I don't know why they choose 'tent' because we are def not in tents. This place is huge, there's a large common area downstairs where you can check in/out, order food and sit, or use the provided computer and guitars. There's also a separate kitchen area where you can make yourself tea or coffee and prepare foods you've brought yourself as well as 2 private onsen. The onsen are co-sex so Jeremy and I were able to go in together. :3
