Galgorm Resort and Spa unveil multi million pound expansion
Galgorm Resort & Spa today launched a landmark £11 million expansion creating almost 80 new jobs.
This new development at the award winning Resort includes the creation of the unique Thermal Spa Village plus an additional 48 deluxe guestrooms and suites bringing the overall room offering to 122.
The development, which was officially opened today by Terence Brannigan, Chair of Tourism NI, brings the total investment at the Resort to over £35 million over the past 10 years.
Speaking today at the launch of the new state-of-the-art expansion, Managing Director Paul Smyth said the significant investment reinforces Galgorm Resort and Spa's commitment to providing an unrivalled customer experience and to enhancing the tourism infrastructure in Northern Ireland.
This project was undertaken to create a world-class addition to the already outstanding guest facilities here. This latest chapter in the Galgorm story is a testament to the drive and vision of the team not just at Galgorm Resort and Spa, but also to Martin and Hamilton and the 100-strong construction team, and our architects Douglas Wallace who all worked together to bring the development to life.

The Ballymena-based venue has forged a reputation as one of the UK and Ireland’s leading spa destinations since it first opened in 1998. This stunning new facility includes 75,000 square feet of luxurious Thermal Spa experiences, the first of its kind in the UK & Ireland, use of which is complimentary to all guests staying within the hotel. Idyllically located on the banks of the River Maine, guests will enjoy the tranquillity of nature and experience pure relaxation with an extensive selection of riverside hot tubs, indoor and outdoor heated pools, steam rooms and saunas.
The additional 48 Deluxe guestrooms and Suites are generously proportioned and all come complete with their own relaxing seating area for in-room relaxation. The jewel in the crown is the breathtaking Signature Suite, 1,300 square feet of pure luxury.

Tullymore House Group, which owns and operates Galgorm Resort and Spa, is also developing the Bedford Hotel in a £12.5 million project at the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in Belfast, and last year the Group opened Fratelli Restaurant in Great Victoria Street.

Overnight Stay in Galgorm Hotel and Spa
We recently stayed the night in the award winning Galgorm Hotel and Spa in Co Antrim. It was our second time staying at the hotel and first since the new outdoor spa facilities opened.
We were blown away by the facilities and can't wait to get back to visit the hotel and enjoy the amazing spa facilities. We also enjoyed the tasting menu available in the River Room Restaurant.
Great food, great hotel, great spa area and a great night away. We highly recommend getting along to the Galgorm.

Shutters up Night - Ballymena 2014
The Braid Arts Centre and Ballymena Borough Council worked together with Ballymena Town Centre Limited, Fairhill Shopping Centre, The Adair Arms Hotel and other local traders and held a 'Shutters Up' night to encourage people to make use of the town centre space at night and to help to make it a more welcoming place.
