Gallatin Canyon Premier Property, Near Big Sky, Montana and the Gallatin River
Located on 5 lush acres near the blue-ribbon waters of the Gallatin River, this home says Montana. It's one of the few homes in Big Sky where you can ride to and from your house on a horse OR snowmobile. With very limited covenants, this is a parcel where you're free to do as you will. The home was well-built in 1996 and then expanded and renovated in 2000. Since then, it has been nicely maintained and landscaped. Large windows in the open living area capture views of the Porcupine Wilderness.

Gallatin Canyon - Live Video Compilation
Despite the Montana namesake, Gallatin Canyon is a Charlottesville, Virginia-based bluegrass band. Influenced by dozens of artists, both contemporary and from the past, the band showcases masterful instrumentation, air-tight arrangements and soaring vocal harmonics. They perform not only traditional bluegrass music but also a wide variety of creatively-arranged favorites from the classic-rock and country genres. From Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, to the Beatles and the Avett Brothers, at any given show, you’ll hear an eclectic and energetic mix crossing multiple musical genres.
Gallatin Canyon has played throughout the region on many stages, including an opening act at the Charlottesville Pavilion for the President of the United States in 2012. Though primarily a 4 or 5-piece ensemble, the band is also available in smaller arrangements for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours.

Gallatin River on U.S. Highway 191 in Montana
Highway 191 follows the Gallatin River between West Yellowstone and Bozeman, Montana. The Gallatin, a tributary of the Missouri River, is incredibly scenic and one of the premiere rafting rivers in the West, not to mention a popular fly-fishing destination as well. Calm water alternates with beautiful rapids and challenging whitewater. I didn't get the chance this trip to do any rafting but it's high on my must-do list for next time. What I did get this trip are a few video shots of the Gallatin as I rode Scenic Highway 191 to Bozeman from Yellowstone.
Gallatin River Cabin - Located between Bozeman and Big Sky, Montana. Legendary fly fishing.
