Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈhoːkʊn]; born 20 July 1973), with the full name Haakon Magnus, is the heir apparent to the Throne of Norway and the son of the reigning King, Harald V.
Haakon married commoner and single mother Mette-Marit Tjessem Høiby on 25 August 2001, at Oslo Cathedral, who upon her marriage became Crown Princess.
The couple have two children together:
Her Royal Highness Princess Ingrid Alexandra, born 21 January 2004, in Oslo.
His Highness Prince Sverre Magnus, born 3 December 2005, in Oslo.
Haakon is also the stepfather to Mette-Marit's son, Marius Borg Høiby, from her relationship with Morten Borg.

Queen Sonja of Norway 80th birthday, Celebration in Oslo & the opening of the Queens new art gallery
Hennes Majestet Dronning Sonja av Norge fylte 80 år tirsdag 4 juli 2017. Dette ble feiret ved det kongelige slott i Oslo. Dronning Sonjas Kunst-stall ble også høytidelig åpnet. Mange hadde møtt opp for å gratulerer Dronningen.
Hele den norske kongelige familien deltok. Kronprins Haakon, kronprinsesse Mette Marit, Prinsesse Astrid, Kong Harald, prinsesse Martha og Dronning Sonja.

Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway turned 80 years on Tuesday 4 July 2017. This was celebrated at the Royal Palace in Oslo. Queen Sonja's art Stable was also solemnly opened. Many attended to congratulate the Queen.
The entire royal family participated. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette Marit, Princess Astrid, King Harald, Princess Martha and Queen Sonja.

The now expanding peaceful marina village is a wonderful place to visit and has other local thinkers, Anne Hess and Dr Rauni Kilde within metres of Sissel's Jupiter Centre. A Visit to Borg, Lofoten Viking Museum
At Lofotr Vikingmuseum in Vestvågøy, Lofoten, Nordland county in Norway, you may see a reconstruction of the great king´s hall at Borg, the center of power in the Kingdom of Hálógaland between 400-900 A.D.E. Hálógaland means The Land of the High Flames, probably a reference to the northern lights. Their royal dynasty believed themselves to be descendants of the river goddess Nauma and her husband Sæmingr, who was a son of Odin and the goddess of skiing, Skadi (who had a relationship with Odin after divorcing Njord). The last king of Borg was probably Olaf Tvennumbruni, mentioned in Landnámabók (The Book of the Settlement of Iceland), who together with one fifth of the Norwegian population emigrated to settle Iceland in order to flee the tyranny of Harald Luva (Filter Hair), better known as Harald Hárfagri (Hair-Fair, a later medieval polishing of the name of the king who united all the 30 tribes of Norway into one kingdom during the 870s. In Iceland, they created a democratic republic based on the principles of the age-old tradition Norse parliamentary democracy but without the kings. The people of Hálógaland, which consisted of the counties Nordland, Troms and Nord-Trøndelag, consisted both of Norse-speaking Háleygir and of Sámi tribes, who like other residents paid taxes to the king in the form of furs and ivory. At Lofotr Vikingmuseum you will find both reconstructions of ancient architecture and interior, crafts and many colorful reenactors are also part of the exhibition.
The music is from a long-dissolved band called Ehwaz, one of Norway´s first ethnic Norse musical bands, these songs composed and sung by my brother T.Kvilhaug. Other members of the band have continued with the similar style music, such as Kjell Braaten and Folket Bortafor Nordavinden.

How do people in Norway handle Democratic Socialism, Abortion restrictions by the religious right, and Parades? I spent time in Oslo, Norway for National Day aka Norwegian July 4th where I taped Episode 1, Season 2 of Walk With Sadiq. Yah I’m back filling up my activity rings on my Apple Watch.
My guest and good friend Kristine Gulbrandsen (@kristineeveboe_) and I walk the royal grounds of Norway and talk college, healthcare, abortion rights, parades, and how we stay friends when I’m hyper extroverted and she’s hyper introverted. You’ll get to watch all the school kids in Oslo walking the parade route and I also chat with a few high school graduates who get to party hard BEFORE their final exams.
