Aerial footage shows Australian bushfires raging in rural New South Wales
Footage taken by the NSW Rural Fire Service showed a bushfire sweeping through an area near Bemboka in the Bega Valley in south-east New South Wales.
The nearby area of Cobargo also experienced a fire-generated thunderstorm, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service. Authorities said that dry lightning could spark further flare-ups in Australia's fire-ravaged regions.
Bushfires have destroyed more than 4m hectares of forest and brush across Australia in recent weeks.

Australian Firefighters Go On the Offensive in Fight Against Wildfires
Firefighters battling Australia’s wildfires are using bulldozers and liquid fuel to create breaks that deny kindling for the wildfire, going on the offensive in the fight against the wildfires for the first time in weeks, Sunday, January 12.
–––––––––
READ MORE: Fires in Australia are increasingly under control as cooler temperatures and light winds stay consistent, according to fire fighting officials.
Teams near the town of Bodalla in New South Wales, the state most affected by weeks of bushfires, said Sunday that they were able to move from defense to offense, working to ensure a fire would not reach a major highway, the Associated Press reported.
The Gospers Mountain fire northwest of Sydney, which has been burning since October, is under control as of Sunday thanks to light rain, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Sunday.
As of Sunday evening, 111 fires were still burning across the state of New South Wales - 40 of them still uncontrolled, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service.

Australia Wildlife Officials Drop Food On New South Wales Burnt Forests to Help Wallabies
Wildlife officials in Australia began a food drop for animals in wildfire-ravaged forests in New South Wales, Friday, January 10, to help them survive in burnt-out land.
–––––––––
READ MORE: New South Wales authorities have airdropped over two tons of sweet potatoes and carrots in several national parks affected by the wildfires.
The food is meant for endangered species like the Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby — which typically survive the fires, but are left stranded with no food after fires burn off the vegetation they eat.

Australia bushfires: fire chiefs update dire situation in NSW and Victoria
The fire chiefs from New South Wales and Victoria have both given briefings amid the day's dire weather predictions. Shane Fitzimmons of the NSW Rural Fire Service says temperatures are likely to reach into the mid-40s in the south-eastern parts of the state with a 'volatile' southerly change expected late this afternoon. Victoria's Emergency Management commissioner, Andrew Crisp, speaks about the bushfire crisis gripping Victoria. Crisp says 'we still have those dynamic and dangerous fire conditions' and 'the state is tinder dry'. He urges people who 'are in any doubt whatsoever' to 'get out'.

NSW bushfires: the terrifying moment a crowning fire explodes outside Sydney
Vision captured by the Ingleburn fire and rescue crew shows the moment the Green Wattle Creek bushfire crowns in the Oakdale/Nattai region, south-west of Sydney. Crowning is when a bushfire moves from treetop to treetop, burning above the ground.
‘The video was put up to demonstrate why you need to listen to the fire advisory system,’ the Ingleburn station said on its Facebook page. ‘If your property is not prepared for the bush fire season and you’re not sure you are able or capable of defending your property if a fire approaches you need to leave straight away.’ No crew members were injured as they escaped the flames.

Australian TV Commercials 33 (ATV-10, May 10/11, 1992)
Commercials from Channel Ten Melbourne, recorded on May 10 to 11, 1992.
Background: We return from our roadtrip to Benidgo and find some commercials from Lock Up and Conan The Barbarian. This is one tape I skipped originally because I thought the ads had been cut, but further playback revealed only the first ad break in the film was cut and the rest were thankfully intact.
NOTE: NSFW commercials are present during the final block of this video.
