GAMESCOM 2019 KICKS OFF IN COLOGNE, GERMANY
GAMESCOM 2019, One of the world's largest trade fairs for video games, kicked off in Germany's Cologne city yesterday. Up to half a million fans are expected to see their favourite e-sports stars in action and give feedback that can decide a new release. The Gamescom fair in Cologne opens to the public today after a series of sneak-peek events. This year's event focuses on cloud-based gaming. According to the organizers of gamescom, Cloud gaming would have the potential to change the games industry dramatically as all essential processing would take place in data centers. With cloud gaming, video gamers would not need powerful hardware anymore and even the most technically demanding games could be played on basic laptops, smart phones or tablets. Around 1,150 exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions are expected to present the latest trends in the computer games industry as well as numerous new game developments

Thousands of cosplayers, gamers visit Gamescom in Germany
Connected devices are challenging consoles at the world's largest online gaming fair, as hundreds of thousands of fans jostle to see top e-sports stars in action and give feedback that can decide whether a new release is a hit or a flop.
The Gamescom Fair in Cologne, Germany, opened to the general public on Wednesday after a series of sneak-peek events to whet the appetite of a rising generation of enthusiasts who spend more time on gaming than they do watching television.
Fans got an up-close look at their heroes demonstrating forthcoming releases, with developers and industry analysts observing queues and interviewing visitors to assess which might turn out to be hits.

Videogames fair, Gamescom, opened its doors to trade visitors and the media in Cologne on Tuesday, as it gets ready to welcome all visitors on Wednesday 21.
The giant gaming convention showcased a glimpse of what future visitors will be able to enjoy once it opens, featuring stands of some of the most eagerly awaited game releases such us Gear 5, Cyberpunk2077 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, to name a few.
Thousands of gamers from more than 50 countries are expected to attend Gamescom 2019, which will be running from August 21-24 at the Cologne Fair.

Germany: Cosplayers hit Cologne's Gamescom 2017 in style
The giant gaming convention 'Gamescom' kicked off in Cologne on Wednesday, attracting thousands of videogame creators and fans to Europe's largest trade fair for interactive games.
Fans also showed off their incredible costumes, dressing up as their favourite characters in the Cosplay village which is a big attraction at every year's convention.
More than 800 exhibitors from all over the world will present their latest innovations in the area of video and computer games. The exhibition will be on until Saturday and will include live performances, a Cosplay congress and competition.
