Outbound route was Barton-Rochdale-Coal Aston-Thoresbury Lake-Gamston.
Excellent ATSU provision en-route via Barton FISO, Manchester and Doncaster Approach and finally, Gamston Radio.
Aircraft is a PA28-161-Warrior II.
Along for the flight was Andy Turnbull.

Trains at Eaton Foot Crossing, 19/02/19
Quite an obscure location here, you can only really get here by car. Eaton foot crossing is located just south of Retford, and is near Gamston Airfield, where I actually currently do flying lessons for a PPL. It is on a stretch of the East Coast Mainline between Retford and Newark Northgate, and offers a surprisingly good view of trains, as you can see them as they go around a corner from quite far away. This means that you can see the multiple types of trains that use the ECML both at a distance and see the whole trains, and then also see them close up as they pass you at nearly full speed, 125mph!
I quite like this view as they go around this corner, as you can see them slightly tilting due to the track's tilt. Also, with it being one of the main lines in the UK, you can get some interesting traffic, although whilst I was there, we only saw the usual trains, Intercity 125s and 225s of LNER, and Class 180s from Hull Trains and Grand Central. Still, an excellent location for spotting, and I would recommend it.
