Luray's Caverns, VA tour
July 30, 2014 family vacation
Luray Caverns & Adventure Park ⎮Luray, Virginia
#Luraycaverns #caves #placetovisit
This what happens when your family takes over your camera... There are a lot more things to do in the area but it got so hot for Grayson that we just had to leave.. It's loaded with people, just a heads up.
Luray Caverns, originally called Luray Cave, is a cave just west of Luray, Virginia, United States, which has drawn many visitors since its discovery in 1878. The cavern system is generously adorned with speleothems such as columns, mud flows, stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, and mirrored pools. The caverns are perhaps best known for the Great Stalacpipe Organ, a lithopone made from solenoid-fired strikers that tap stalactites of various sizes to produce tones similar to those of xylophones, tuning forks, or bells.

Luray Caverns Virginia
Luray Caverns have many beautiful rock formations and many photo opportunities. This is the largest cave on the Eastern part of the United States and if you like caves then this is a must see. There is a large room with an organ in it. Music is made by thumpers hitting the different rock formations. It is truly amazing how this is done.

I spent a day in Virginia! First stop is at Luray Caverns (00:07) where we listen to the worlds largest stalacpipe organ (02:01).
