The funicular railway takes visitors to the centre of Capri in just 5 minutes, via a panoramic route which cuts through the island's lemon groves and terraced vegetable gardens.
Departures are every 15 minutes or more frequently still when demand is particularly high.
In the rush hour passengers are likely to have to queue before boarding.
Small dogs are allowed in the funicular car, but must be muzzled and kept on a lead. Tickets can be purchased at the funicular railway ticket office in the center of Capri or in Marina Grande, to the left of the port, where the ticket offices for the various hydrofoil and ferry companies are located.

Castellammare del Golfo ([kaˌstɛllamˈmaːre del ˈɡolfo]; Sicilian: Casteddammari; Latin: Emporium Segestanorum / Emporium Aegestensium) is a town and municipality in the Trapani Province of Sicily. The name can be translated as Sea Fortress on the Gulf, stemming from the medieval fortress in the harbor. The nearby body of water conversely takes its name from the town, and is known as Gulf of Castellammare.
Heading upwards from its marina/harbour called Cala Marina, with many restaurants and bars, the urban plan is made of steps and winding streets that lead to Piazza Petrolo in one direction or towards the main central gardens, where the town center lies with many shops, cafes and restaurants. The main street is called Corso Garibaldi. Castellammare del Golfo has been described as probably having the most beautiful peninsula in all of Sicily.

Cortometraggio girato in Super 8 nel 2011 con una Cinepresa Canon 814 e una nuova pellicola Kodak Ektachrome 100D per dimostrare la possibilità di girare in pellicola a basso costo trasferendo il filmato in alta definizione in formato 16:9.
La definizione non raggiunge ovviamente la nitidezza del 16 o 35 mm ma è sicuramente superiore alla tradizionale conversione in DVD.
