Gardeners creek from Station Street to Burwood Highway Boxhill South
A Sunday ride with John and Shane along the Gardeners Creek bikepath. I'd only had about four hours sleep the night before so at Burwood Highway I left them and headed back on the other side of the creek.
Part 1 - Introduction
An introduction to Deakin University biological scientist Dr Anneke Veenstra is followed by a description of her research work in the invertebrate ecology; specifically, that of the Gardiner’s Creek Reserve in Burwood, Victoria, Australia. Google Earth is used to provide a “fly in” view of the inner urban location of the Reserve.

A Stroll Through Ashwood (Special Cases)
This is yet another video around the Ashwood/Ashburton/Chadstone area. Starting from Holmesglen Station, the walk goes up Warrigal Road towards Woolies at the top of the hill and then back down again along High Street Rd and turning right into Winbirra Parade connecting upto Batesford Road.
The background track is Massive Attack Feat. Sinead O'Conner - Special Cases. Enjoy :)

Glen Iris wetlands
A stunning $2.9 million wetland has been developed on the former Glen Iris and Tooronga Bowls Club site in the City of Boroondara.
The wetlands will act as a natural filter for stormwater from the urban area on the north side of Gardiners Creek and help to reduce the amount of nitrogen, phosphorous, suspended sediment and other pollutants before the stormwater enters the creek
It will also help the City of Boroondara reduce its reliance on the use of transported recycled water for irrigation purposes. More than 10,000 native plants, trees and ground covers have been planted at the site.
