Tura, Garo hills, Meghalaya, North East India | Episode 13
We spent 15 days in Meghalaya, traveled to all the 3 tribe areas - Khasi hills, Jaintia hills and finally we went to Garo hills.
This is the last episode of our 25 day tour of Meghalaya.
If you want to travel to Garo hills, you can do that directly from Guwahati by traveling 220 km or else if you are in Shillong and want to go to Garo hills. You will need to travel first to Guwahati and then to Tura, which is headquarter town of Garo hills.
Another route to travel to Tura from Shillong is via - Nongstoin, we took this route and enjoyed the journey because we enjoyed halt at Mawphanlur.

Tura is headquater town of West Garo hills, we travelled in Meghalaya, North East India for 15 days, as part of this tour, we spent 3 days in Tura.
As part of this journey we explored many tourist destinations and also got chance to explore local food in Garo hills.

(Unfortunately we did not reach to Bomdila, we stuck at landslide near Jamiri point,Dedza,between Sessa to Bomdila road. My friend set up a tent and wait for 7 hours without food and water. After 7 hours the road cleared at around 8pm. Luckily we found Nyezino Resort (lodging and folding) at Nag Mandir

Nag Mandir to Tawang
Again we did not reach to Tawang due to bad weather, there was a freezing rain fall, foggy, our hands are numb and legs are shivering, no gloves, jacket and rain coat works, thanks to the Indian Army, they call us to their canteen and they prepared coffee and heater at Sela Pass, after half an hour we leave to Jang town searching for lodge and found the lodge, there was only one Lodge name Bombu lodge at Jang town between the road Sela Pass and Tawang City.

Next day morning we found the beautiful falls name Nuranang Fall, 2kms away from Jang town, it is also called Jang Falls and Bong Bong Falls. Nuranang fall and river are named after the Monpa girl name Nura who help Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawant during 1962 India China War. We visit the Tawang Monastery,India's largest Monastery and second largest in the world after the Lhasa Palace in Tibet. Unfortunately we missed Bumla Pass India China Border due to bad weather so we went back to Jang Town

We went to Bhutan and have some Chowmeen
Free advise - you can go inside the border and buy Petrol Rs 52 per litre,no pass needed.

Rhythm of 100 drums-2019| Asanang Wangala| Garo Hills|Meghalaya, India.
In collaborating with the cultural ethnic of A'chik indegenous people , the 42nd Wangala festival or 100 drums Wangala was held from 7th to 9th Nov. 2019 at Asanang , West Garo Hills Meghalaya ,India .People from different part of Garo Hills had participated in this big festival and the huge dance group consisted of ten sub -group participants.

is in South Garo Hills Meghalaya,
North East of India .
Our (Garos) ancestors believe this hill to be the sort of resting place for departed souls.
In this video we explored Balpakram for just only max 4 hours In a day and then went to Deoban On the Next Day.
I have never seen such a Beautiful Landscape water Falls Streams and Canyon .
Balpakram is famous for its forest covered canyon-cum-gorge, which is now part of a National Park.

About the Town : Williamnagar Town is the headquater of East Garo Hills District of Meghalaya in the North East India. The town was christened after Captain Williamson A. Sangma, the founding Chief Minister of the State of Meghalaya.The township was planned around the erstwhile village of Simsanggre, on the vast plainlands along the bank of the Simsang River, in 1976 after the Garo Hills district of yesteryear was re-organised to carve out a new district called East Garo Hills District.
