Based on Patrick Hamilton's celebrated stage play, Thorold Dickinson's Gaslight is a harrowing and claustrophobic study of murder, abuse and lust in Victorian London. By turns charming and cruel, Anton Walbrook excels as the sadistic husband who attempts to drive his wife (Diana Wynyard) mad to prevent her from disclosing his dark past.

Westonbury Mill Water Garden - Herefordshire
An amazing 3.5 acre water garden in the grounds of a former corn mill criss-crossed by streams, with moisture loving plants around the mill ponds. Fascinating stone built tower with water wheel lifting mill stream water to the top from where it spurts forth out of a gargoyle's mouth at intervals! The tower also includes a dovecote!
A dome shaped grotto offers a wonderfully colourful display through empty wine bottles built into the walls which can be seen in a reflecting pool surrounded by ferns. The garden offers views across ponds and streams in all directions thanks to a well thought out design.
Westonbury Mill Water Gardens are a very tranquil space in glorious Herefordshire countryside and well worth a visit.

The Harkes Rockumentary
Eastbourne band 'The Harkes' recording at CMP Studios Ltd.
A short film by Charlie Goodall.
A short but humorous two minute documentary of Eastbourne-based band The Harkes which I produced for the Rode Rockumentary International Film Competition. I was lucky enough to spend some time with them when they came to CMP Studios on the south coast of England to record their latest track Brother.
The guys are very passionate about their music and spent hours and hours making sure the recordings were all perfect. They aren't interested in the X Factor quick bucks route - they are all about the music and would rather go across country doing gigs from the back of a van than sell out and play music someone else tells them to. It's all about the buzz of playing live and hearing people singing your songs, they told me.
It was a funny, educational and inspirational evening I spent with them - and I am now a big fan of their music too!

Kit used was a Canon 5D Mark III with Canon 24-70mm 2.8L and Canon 70-200mm 2.8L lenses. Due to space and time constraints everything was shot with a monopod.
