Glenbow Museum, Calgary (4K) | Journey Alberta
On February 4, 2016, I went to the Glenbow Museum on their free night, which happens of the first Thursday of every month. There were many cool exhbits there, including a West Africa section, an Aboriginal Display, a collection of various weapons from the last 4 hundred years, and an impressive display of all types of stones, rocks, and gems to name a few. I highly recommend checking this out if you live in the area, as it's well worth it. Until next time!

Gasoline Alley ~ Heritage Park ~ Doug Coats ~ Cord L29 ~ Calgary, Alberta
Set within a spectacular building located at the front of the park, Gasoline Alley is one of the world's largest public collections of antique trucks, cars and petroliana from 1900 to the 1950s.
The Cord L-29 was the first American front-wheel drive to win popular approval.
Front-wheel drive allowed the car to be lower to the ground than other vehicles of the time. Coupled with a long hood, this made the Cord one of the most rakish, visually striking cars on the market. The L-29 line was phased out in 1932-customers could no longer afford the $3000 price tag, especially since a Ford Model A was just a tenth of the cost.

Set within a spectacular building located at the front of the park, Gasoline Alley is one of the world's largest public collections of antique trucks, cars and petroliana from 1900 to the 1950s.
At the beginning of the Great Depression this car rolled off the assembly line with shiny blue paint and bright nickle plating. It's dents, repairs and rusty patina bear witness to the perseverance and ingenuity of a Saskatchewan family who weathered the Dirty Thirties. Rediscovered some fifty years later, Scruffy was mechanically restored by Mr. Brian McKay who later drove her 2,000 miles down Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles recreating the journey of many Dustbowl refugees.

Inside Aero Space Museum of Calgary - Canada
The museum was founded in 1975 by aviation enthusiasts and former World War II pilots. It showcases the history of aviation and space technology of Western Canada.
A central War memorial stone slab and four other memorial slabs were erected by the Aircrew Association (Southern Alberta Branch) and the Aerospace Museum Association of Calgary. The plaque name the commonwealth air forces who trained in Calgary as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan during the Second World War: Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF); Royal Air Force (RAF); Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF); Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). A In front of the slabs, a gravel mural of a Canadian roundel was painted.[2]
The Calgary Aerospace Museum erected a list of honour memorial dedicated to the Alberta Airmen who were killed in the Second World War
