Eu amo viajar e conhecer novos lugares e culturas. Também sou apaixonada por animais e foi isso que me fez virar vegana.
Aqui eu posto vídeos sobre minha vida na Holanda, vlogs de viagens, intercâmbio de Au Pair, veganismo, e faculdade na Holanda.
Seja bem vindo ♡

Gecko's Foodies Tour
Welcome to our Foodies Tour!
We start our tour with a stop in the seaside town of Omiš, a short and scenic trip from Split. Here, you can enjoy free time to walk around and enjoy the views, little shops and even climb up the ancient fort for some ideal photo opportunities.
Next,we take you to a mountain village. There will be an opportunity to enjoy an inexpensive lunch at a local family restaurant. This warm and welcoming family will provide you not only with a lovely lunch, but also give you the opportunity to experience life in rural Croatia. They produce most of their own food, cure their own meats and make their own wines and spirits, a practice which is typical for many rural Croatian families. You will be able to sample all these, as well as find out a little more about their lifestyle, which provides a fascinating insight to those of us who are more accustomed to supermarket shopping for our food.

Staying in Vinisce we were a short 20 minute car journey away from Trogir which is a smaller Russian doll version of Split. We scaled the Kamerlengo castle for better views before cooling off with a signature gelato. Another car ride 20 minutes from Trogir we made our way to Croatias second largest city, Split. Walking the Riva, rubbing the big shiny toe of Grgur Ninskifor luck and munching on a ćevapčići from the world famous Kantun Paulina we evaded the Dalmatian sun for the cooler hidden gems within the city walls.

Game of Thrones tour in action video
Have you ever wondered where the Game of Thrones series is filmed – well, the answer is that Split, Croatia has many Game of Throne locations right on its doorstep.
For lovers of the blockbuster TV series we offer a specialist Game of Thrones Split tour of all the significant Game of Thrones film locations around Split, starting with the watermill at Žrnovnica, site of Daario’s legendary battle and Missandei’s bathing scene.
From here the tour travels to the spectacular and unmistakable fortress at Klis where so much Game of Thrones filming took place. In season four, Daenerys overthrows the Meereen, the largest of the three great Slaver Cities, in this spectacular location 20 minutes north of Split.
With panoramic views across the valley and Split city beneath, this imposing fort has protected the seat of many a Croatian King. Today, it’s a tranquil but spectacular place. You can climb to the top of the fortress to see where Khalisi answered ‘injustice with justice’ by nailing the city’s former rulers to crosses for hundreds to see – not for the faint hearted!
We’ll also visit Kaštel Gomilica which was the setting of the free city of Braavos.
Finally, we finish our tour at the UNESCO listed Diocletian’s palace in Split, setting of some of Daenerys Targaryen’s more memorable scenes.
The 1700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace in Split was constructed by Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century and remains the city’s most famous site. It’s here that we see Daenerys in her throne room, where she trained her dragons and where the ‘kill the masters’ scene in season four takes place, when dozens of slaves sit around a fire discussing whether they should fight for her or not.
Our guide is a Game of Thrones expert of these sites and knows exactly where each scene was filmed and from what angle, so you won’t be disappointed with your group pics and selfies!

AROUND CROATIA. KRKA. PLITVICE LAKES. ISTRIA.SPLIT
Well, I want to introduce you to our cool trip all over Croatia. It all started with the capital, the city of Zagreb. In fact, the city is not very remarkable and I can’t mention anything special in it. Then we went to Istria, namely the cities of Rovinj and Pula. In addition to them, we stopped in different small cities. Next we went to the very steep Plitvice Lakes National Park - this is a very beautiful place, I advise everyone to visit it) Next, our goal was the city of Split and its surroundings. On the road to Split, we found the very beautiful town of Trogir. Also, near Split, we decided to visit rafting and go to Vis island where we rented a car to explore the island)
and I was helped in this video by the dji dji mavic pro drone and the dji osmo pocket camera

Emperor Diocletian
The Temple of Jupiter (Croatian: Jupiterov hram) is a temple in Split, Croatia dedicated to the Ancient Roman god Jupiter. It is located in the western part of Diocletian's Palace near the Peristyle, the central square of the imperial complex. It was built between 295 and 305, during the construction of the Palace, and was probably turned into Baptistery of St. John the Baptist in the 6th century, at the same time when the crypt dedicated to St. Thomas was built. Before the entrance to the Temple is one of the twelve sphinxes brought from Egypt by Emperor Diocletian. Scottish architect Robert Adam considered this temple to be one of Europe's most beautiful monuments.
Description
The Temple of Jupiter was constructed between 295 and 305 as part of Diocletian's Palace. It was dedicated to the supreme Roman god and Diocletian's divine father, Jupiter. The temple is located in the western, religious part of the palace. Since the Emperor unexpectedly abdicated the throne in 305 and arrived at the palace from Nicomedia earlier, finishing work on the construction of the Palace was stopped so parts of the Temple remained unfinished.
Reliefs depicting gods and various heroes, such as Victoria, Triton, Helios, Hercules, Jupiter and Apollo, are placed in front of the Temple, above the entrance. Doorways are richly decorated, especially the impressive Temple's barrel coffered vault.
Sarcophagi, containing the remains of two Archbishops of Split, Ivan of Ravenna (died c. 10) and Lovre (died c. 1099), are placed inside the Temple. In addition, there is a large bronze statue of St. John the Baptist made by Ivan Meštrović. A Renaissance sarcophagus of Jakov Selembrije from the 16th century is placed in front of the baptistery.
In the 11th century, a Romanesque style bell tower was built above the vault. It is similar to one in the Church of Our Lady of the Tower above Iron Gate of Diocletian's palace, which was demolished around 1840 in accordance with the then classicist aspirations which argued for purification of ancient monuments and buildings.
During late Antiquity and the Middle Ages, the Temple was converted into a baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist, while the crypt was dedicated to St. Thomas.
In the 13th century, the baptismal font made of parts of the altar partition from the 11th century which was originally located in the Cathedral was placed within the baptismal font. The oldest representation of Croatian king Peter Krešimir IV or Demetrius Zvonimir with their subjects is engraved on one of the marble rood screens. The second rood screen is decorated with pentagram with flowers and birds inside a star that is surrounded by a wreath which represents the Holy Trinity and the two natures of Jesus Christ - the divine and the human. A third rood screen is decorated with motifs of Croatian interlace in various forms.
The Temple's barrel coffered vault influenced Dalmatian early Renaissance art which is best seen in the example of Andrea Alessi's baptistery and Chapel of blessed John in Trogir.
In 1907, a few houses on the west and south side of the Temple were demolished, so the Temple was freed of fittings, except those in the northwest corner that are still leaning against it.
