Kayak Fishing at Geelong Corio Bay
Kayak fishing at Geelong Corio Bay ( Port Phillip Bay ) with Alan and Mark from FishingMad. They set out on their kayaks catching flathead, whiting, pinkies and several pest species using both lures and bait. They didn't find that trophy snapper or gummy but that's fishing. The guys however provide some great fishing tips and techniques to try as they land a few flathead and whiting.

'Today' show in Geelong, with Cats star, Harry Taylor
Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson, Richard Wilkins with the rest of the crew from the Channel 9 'Today' show, 'steamed' into Geelong's Eastern Beach yesterday. They certainly didn't waste any time in confirming the hearts of all the enthousiastic Geelong groupies who thronged the local Steampacket Gardens to meet them. This enthousiastic crowd helped the show go with a swing, bringing along their banners, children, pets and, best of all perhaps, local Cats A.F.L. Premiere player, Harry Taylor . (Some of the famous Geelong Bollards Silver Band members were also in attendance, complete with instruments and a copy of the music for 'The Geelong Polka' but (inexplicably) nobody invited them to play! ), Lisa struggled with what seemed to be a painful problem in her left eye but did not let this hamper her charm & professionality when the Channel 9 cameras were on her. Karl is lucky he also has charisma enough & the people handling skills to be so bold (in these Cat-infested waters) as to pin his Brisbane Lions' Colours to his mast!
Lisa, you looked so at home & happy mingling with us locals, that we'd like to invite you to move down here with us permanently. Karl, likewise, but you will first have to smarten up on your choice of football team!
Cheers to everyone who converted this good idea into a perfect one!

Australia Fremantle - Jim Rogers Around the World Adventure
Leading economic expert Jim Rogers traveled to 150 countries over 150,000 miles in three years - follow his adventures here on FentonReport.
In this video Jim visits Fremantle in Australia.
Fremantle (colloquially known as 'Freo') is a port city in Western Australia, located 19 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Perth, the state capital, at the mouth of the Swan River on Australia's western coast. It was the first settlement of the Swan River Colonists in 1829. It was declared a city in 1929, and has a population of approximately 26,000.
The city is named after Charles Fremantle, the English naval officer who had pronounced possession of Western Australia and who established the camp at the site. The city contains well preserved buildings and other heritage sites. The Western Australian vernacular diminutive for Fremantle is Freo.
Contents
Fremantle lies on a series of limestone hills known by the Nyungar people as Booyeembara; the sandplain to the east is Gardoo. The original vegetation of the area was mainly Xanthorrhoea and eucalyptus trees, being fired annually (in late spring or summer) by the traditional owners.
Fremantle is the end of a train line that runs from Perth to Fremantle, run by the WA's Public Transport Authority.
Fremantle is subject to weather and climate relative to seaside communities - to the point that the regular sea breeze is known as the Fremantle Doctor, as it has a cooling effect to provide relief from the summer heat.
On 25 April 1829, the ship HMS Challenger under the guidance of Captain Fremantle had arrived in the waters off the Fremantle coast to make preparations for the Swan River Colony.
On 2 May 1829, Captain Fremantle formally took possession on behalf of King George IV of the entire west coast of New Holland in a ceremony conducted just near the south head of the Swan River. A few days later a camp was set up in a bay just south of the head, and Fremantle has been occupied ever since.
A month later, on 1 June Captain James Stirling on the Parmelia arrived to officially set up the Swan River Colony. Perth itself was not settled until 12 August that year.
Captain Fremantle left the colony on 25 August after providing much assistance to Stirling in setting up the colony. It was then that Stirling decided to name the port settlement 'Fremantle'.
In 1897, Irish-born engineer C. Y. O'Connor deepened Fremantle harbour and removed the limestone bar and sand shoals across the entrance to the Swan River, thus rendering Fremantle a serviceable port for commercial shipping. Fremantle still serves as the chief general seaport for Western Australia, though far greater tonnages are exported from the iron-ore ports of the Pilbara.
Fremantle has seen many industrial conflicts, the most famous of which occurred in 1919 when rioting broke out during the lumpers' strike, resulting in one death and many injuries.
During World War II, Fremantle was the second largest base for Allied submarines operating in the Pacific theatre. There were up to 125 US, 31 British and 11 Free Dutch submarines operating out of Fremantle, until the Americans moved forward to the Philippines. The movements and presence of USS Sturgeon (SS-187) is a good example of such activity.

We also landed a few pest species in toadies and rays. Australia Great Ocean Road - Jim Rogers Around the World
Leading economic expert Jim Rogers traveled to 150 countries over 150,000 miles in three years - follow his adventures here on FentonReport.
In this video Jim travels the Great Ocean Road in Australia.
The Great Ocean Road is a 243 km stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The road was constructed to provide work for returning soldiers and dedicated as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War. It is one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives.
The Great Ocean Road starts at Torquay and travels westward to the outskirts of Warrnambool. The road forms about 90% of B100 (previously designated as State Route 100), the remaining 10% known as the Surfcoast Highway which joins Geelong to Torquay.
The Great Ocean Road was built by 3000 returned servicemen (or Diggers) as a war memorial for fellow servicemen who had been killed in the First World War.
The idea for the road was suggested as far back as 1864. Surveying began in 1918 and construction took place between 1919 and 1932.
Parts of the Great Ocean Road run around steep coastal mountains. These were the trickiest and the final sections to be built.
In 1922 the section from Eastern View to Lorne was completed.
In 1932 the section from Lorne to Apollo Bay was finished, thus completing the entire road.
Much of the road hugs the coast tightly, offering outstanding views of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean.
Between Anglesea and Apollo Bay is a particularly scenic stretch of road which passes through many towns where mountains meet the sea. The main beach in Lorne offers great views of Louttit Bay nestled in a natural amphitheatre of hills, and Teddy's Lookout is not far from the main street.
The section near Port Campbell provides access by foot or helicopter to some of the most scenic coastline in the world, because of its striking and dramatic natural limestone and sandstone rock formations. These formations have been created by erosion from waves and rain and include Loch Ard Gorge, the Grotto, London Bridge (renamed to London Arch after the 'bridge' partly collapsed), and most famously the Twelve Apostles.
Around Lorne there are many forest walks which visit impressive waterfalls. Erskine Falls is a 15 minute drive inland from Lorne. Kennett River is a popular spot for koala spotting.
Between Apollo Bay and Gellibrand Lower, the road passes through the Great Otway National Park, which includes some of the last surviving temperate rainforests in the south of Australia. A walk at Mait's Rest offers spectacular views of tree-ferns and Myrtle Beeches.
After Lavers Hill is Melba Gully State Park which includes a 40-minute walk through tree ferns, Myrtle Beeches, Australian Blackwoods, passing a giant Otway Messmate and beautiful river cascades. If you return at night with a spotlight you will see thousands of Arachnocampa glowworms.
The road's speed limit varies from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 100 km/h (62 mph) out of urban areas. However, its sharp curves make it difficult to maintain those speeds. It is a two lane roadway (one lane in each direction). Urban area speed limits vary from 50 km/h (31 mph) to 70 km/h (43 mph). There are speed cameras at intervals along the road.
