hey welcome to my japan travel vlog 2018 (bahasa indonesia). here is another video in exploring japan series.
It was too hot in Tokyo so that my friends and i escaping to Hiraizumi, an interesting place in Iwate Perfecture, Japan. we went to geibikei gorge where we sail an amazing river by boat. so happy to get a chance to filming this trip.

1. Schedule
July 29 (Sunday)
Ueno (9:46) –Ichinoseki (12:14) [Yamabiko 45]
After arriving in Ichinoseki, we transfer to the local train for Geibikei.
You have a quick lunch at the station.
You also take a lunch box on the Shinkansen train.
Ichinoseki (12:45) – Geibikei (13:18)
90 minutes river boat course in Geibikei Gorge
Go to HIaizumi from Geibikei by local bus
Geibikei 16:00→16:35
Check-in the hotel at 17:00.
Dinner starts 18:30. One vegetarian- and seven fish-based dishes with
some Chicken are requested.
Before then, you enjoy taking the hot-spring and shopping.
July 30 (Monday): Temple VIsits
Breakfast starts around 7:30.

We can keep our luggage at the hotel.

Saw the autumn leaves in Geibikei Gorge. The River Boat Cruise was about an hour and a half; relaxing, quiet, peaceful, and the scenery is beautiful. We stopped halfway and was able to explore by foot and there's an area with a bridge where you can throw a fortune stone into a hole in the cliffside. On the way back we were treated to traditional singing from our boatman.

Geibikei Gorge, Iwate in 4K - 猊鼻渓 岩手 - Japan As It Truly Is
Geibikei Gorge is one of Japan's most relaxing and beautiful - see towering cliffs above you and the Japan of all your dreams.
Geibikei Gorge (猊鼻渓) is east of Ichinoseki City in Iwate and easily accessed by a 35 minute train ride from Ichinoseki to Geibikei Stn. It's beauty is astonishing, and it is one of the few places you can actually see koi fish in the wild and not captive in some pond. You will also be accompanied by many happy ducks and sweet fish, who will battle it out for your snacks.
Here you can see Geibikei in all its beauty, without any yapping or chattering - experience it like you are in the boat yourself right here.
The boat tour in total takes about 90 minutes, including a 20 minute break upriver. There you can buy some undama or lucky stones. The stones have different kanji or Chinese characters, one for different aspects that you might want, like happiness, love, etc. You try to throw them into a hole across the river, and if you succeed, you will gain what you seek.

Geibikei Gorge [One day trip to Hiraizumi and Geibikei]
In the afternoon we drove approx. 30 minutes to Geibikei Gorge, which is famous for its fantastic scenery and Sightseeing Boat.
We got on the barge and slowly went up the Satetsu River while listening to the boatman's tour. In this area you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley with its colorful leaves and rocks which look like human faces and which are covered with Wisteria vines. In the clear water, big and small fish come so close to the barge that you can almost touch them. There is one more thing you can enjoy here which is called Undama. You can throw these Undama stones, which have words engraved on them like Fate, Love, and Luck, at a small hole across the river. If you are lucky and get the stone in the hole, your wishes will come true. Mathew and Peggy were both throwing the stones with serious expressions on their faces. Every time the stone went in the hole, they excitedly shouted Good!. It seemed like a good omen for their trip. On the way home we listened to the boatman sing Geibi Oiwake. The boatman's voice echoed through the valley.
After spending half a day in Southern Iwate, both Mathew and Peggy told me that they had become really interested in the history of Hiraizumi.
They said, It's amazing that they had very large and ancient government buildings, second only to Kyoto's in size, and you can still see the remains of them!
Although Iwate Prefecture was affected by the big earthquake in March 2011, Hiraizumi was not significantly damaged, so we were able to move around easily and were able to find restaurants without any trouble.
At the end, Peggy smiled saying, Iwate not only has beautiful scenery but also has very friendly and kind local people, and that has really made an impression on me. It seemed that both of them had a very memorable trip.

Mōtsū-ji [One day trip to Hiraizumi and Geibikei ]
I met up with the person from the Iwate Hiraizumi Interpreters & Guides Association at the newly renovated Hiraizumi Station. The town of Hiraizumi makes sure that our guests from all over the world have a great time with peace of mind, even if they come on their own. If you would like to know more about our history or culture, you can contact them to request that the Association sends a tour guide/interpreter who is fluent in English, Chinese, Korean or German.
We made our way to Mōtsū-ji from Hiraizumi Station. It only took us less than 3 minutes by car to get there. This time, the people who accompanied me were Mathew, who came to Japan a month ago, and Peggy who has been living in Morioka for 12 years. Mathew had never been to Iwate before so he was very excited. He was also very interested to learn how to visit a Buddhist temple. He really liked the temple's Pure Land Garden, saying The pond looks beautiful. I love how it is so peaceful.
