George Enescu has a special connection to Sinaia, where
Queen Elisabeth of Romania (1843 - 1916) helped him launch the cultural world music of the moment. With the money earned on his first tour to America, George Enescu built a villa in Sinaia (Cumpătu district) between 1923 and 1926 and named it Luminiș (clearing). This work of architect Radu Dudescu is representative for the authentic Romanian style, and is integrated into the surrounding atmosphere Bucegi
Mountains.
In 1947, the composer living in Paris, donated villa to the Romanian state, in order to be used as a resting and creation place for artists. In 1995 the villa became George Enescu memorial house and is taken care by the European Cultural Centre of Sinaia.

Sinaia (Romanian pronunciation: [siˈnaja]) is a town and a mountain resort in Prahova County, Romania. It is situated in the historical region of Muntenia. The town was named after Sinaia Monastery of 1695, around which it was built. The monastery in turn is named after the Biblical Mount Sinai. King Carol I of Romania built his summer home, Peleș Castle, near the town in the late nineteenth century.
Sinaia is about 65 kilometres (40 miles) northwest of Ploiești and 48 kilometres (30 miles) south of Brașov, in a mountainous area on the Prahova River valley, just east of the Bucegi Mountains. The altitude varies from 767 to 860 metres (2,516 to 2,822 feet) above sea level.
The city is a popular destination for hiking and winter sports, especially downhill skiing. Among the tourist landmarks, the most important are Peleș Castle, Pelișor Castle, Sinaia Monastery, Sinaia Casino, Sinaia train station, and the Franz Joseph and Saint Anne Cliffs. Sinaia was also the summer residence of the Romanian composer George Enescu, who stayed at the Luminiș villa.

Zamanında bu evde en ünlü eserlerinden #Romanian #Rhapsody 'e sahip olan bu usta sanatçının yaşamış olması ve onun hayatını yerinde görmek farklı ve heyecan vericiydi.
George Enescu yaşamı boyunca Amerika ve Fransa da orkestra şefliği yapmış. Aynı zamanda çok iyi bir kemancı ve bestecidir. Müziğe 4 yaşında piyano çalarak başlayan Enescu çingene kemancı #Nicolas #Chioru dan dersler almış ve daha sonra Iaşi şehrindeki ünlü opera bestecisi #Eduard #Caudella 'dan eğitim almış
Müzik hayatı boyunca bir opera, üç senfoni ve üç keman sonatı yazmış.
Anıt müze haline getirilen evinde beni en çok şaşırtan ise tarihi Osmanlı duvar halısı idi. Ve ayrıca oturma odasındaki Arapça yazıları olan bakır tepside hayli ilginçti.
