Matilda visits Snæfellsnes
During our stay in Iceland we drove to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to see volcanoes, waterfalls and spectacular scenery aplenty. Snaefellsnes is called Iceland in Miniature, as it offers scenic highlights you might find all over the country.
Matilda and Leander enjoyed our roadtrip and the chance to see the wild side of nature in Iceland up close, such as the Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall or the Gerðuberg Cliffs.
More #matildavisits episodes from Iceland are coming soon.

Svartifoss waterfall - Skaftafell, South Iceland
Have you seen a waterfall flowing into such an impressive canyon of traprock pillars?
Book your tour now:
One of Iceland's most awesome waterfalls, Svartifoss is best renowned for the hexagonal basalt columns that surround it and lay shattered at its base. These columns, which are very dark, lend the feature its name; Svartifoss means ‘Black Falls’. These columns are found in other places in Iceland, such as the Gerðuberg cliffs on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, and on Reynisfjara beach on the South Coast. At none of these locations, however, is there a cascade of foaming white water to add to the beauty and fantasy of the site.

Iceland | Paradise or tourist trap?
#Iceland #FireAndIce #
Is Iceland too expensive? Too touristy? What is this otherworldly place all about? Check out this review to get a closer look, and better understanding, of Iceland.
I felt like I visited 4 different countries within the 3000 or so km I drove around the island. Separated only by a short drive you can find yourself in the presence of magnificent waterfalls, glaciers, snowy terrains, canyons, black sand beaches, and much more! It truly is one of the most spectacular places I have visited.
Here is a list of some of the places you will see in the video. I recommend seeing as many of them as you can while you are there.
Hallgrimskirkja - Church in Reykjavik
Oxararfoss - Waterfall in Thingvellir National Park
Seljalandsfoss - Waterfall in southern Iceland
Skogafoss - Waterfall in southern Iceland
Solheimasandur Plane Wreck - Southern Iceland
Reynisfjara - Epic rock formations in southern Iceland
Svartifoss - Waterfall
Vatnajokull - Epic Glacier
Jokulsarlon - Epic lake with glacier in the backdrop
Studlagil Canyon - Incredible canyon in eastern Iceland
Dettifoss - the most powerful waterfalls in Europe
Surtshellir - Incredible lava caves in west Iceland
Be sure to check out this other video I made about the spectacular waterfalls in Iceland:
Iceland Vlog - Part 2
Hi everyone! Here is part 2 of my Iceland vlogs. This is a bit of a rambling video. I had to change my approach to vlogging because my point-and-shoot didn't survive the rain during the glacier hike. Instead, I used my DSLR but the image stabilization/sound isn't the best so I basically took short clips throughout the day and then provided a daily recap back at the hotel. Sorry it's a bit of a boring vlog, and thank you so much for watching!!!

Djúpivogur - Iceland - Eggs of Merry Bay

View over Breidafjordur - Iceland part2
The video is taken at Staður in Reykhólasveit in Iceland.
Glymur, Iceland
Situated at the rear end of the Hvalfjörður. Since the opening of the tunnel under this fjord, most people bypass the area. However, it is a very beautiful part of the country with volcanoes and tree plantations.
The waterfall Glymur, with a cascade of 196 m, is the second highest waterfall of Iceland.

Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring - Iceland
