STORYLINE:
The bodies of two German peacekeepers killed in a helicopter crash in Bosnia were transported from Sarajevo to their homeland on Tuesday.
The European Union (EU) peacekeeping helicopter, which belonged to the Spanish military, crashed on Thursday in mountains near the north-central city of Banja Luka, killing the two Germans and two Spanish servicemen.
The Spanish army victims were identified as Lt. Santiago Hormigo Ledesma and Sgt. Joaquin Lopez Moreno, and they were transported to Spain on Friday.
The names of the Germans have not been released.
Following a short ceremony in the presence of the German Ambassador to Bosnia and EU peacekeeping force officials, the bodies were loaded on a C-130 military transport plane to carry them back to Germany.
A German general placed medals on the coffins and the aircraft left Bosnia at 0600 (0400 GMT).
The cause of Thursday's crash was under investigation.
EUFOR (European Union Force) said the helicopter took off from Sarajevo on a routine flight on Thursday morning, then transmitted a Mayday call
half-an-hour later.
EUFOR said a team aboard a second helicopter saw smoke, but little else because of the mountainous and forested terrain.
The crashed helicopter was a German-built Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm BO-105 and was used for transport operations for the peacekeeping force in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Spain has 250 soldiers in the peacekeeping force in Bosnia, and Germany has 130.

German WW2 Truck Remains Found in Finland!
Spotted old metal when driving around in Lapland. The two trucks had been abandoned by German troops in the end of Lapland war, when thr troops retreated from Finland and Norway.
The forest around the two old trucks was chopped, and the trucks were unearthed from a 70 year peace in the forest. Pretty authentic trail lead to the forest. Same trail where the trucks were driven 70 years ago. Both of the truck frames were laying next to them. The trucks are French Matfords.

German military cementery in Honkanummi/Vantaa. About 400 German soldiers have been buried here. Until 1960's this place was outside the city area. The cementery was officially opened 30th August 1963. A new gate to the cementery was build because there was build a motorway near the cementery. Next to the cementery is nowadays a prison and a school for training dogs for blind people.

Honkanummella sijaitseva saksalaisten sotilaitten hautausmaa. Hautausmaa vihittiin käyttöön 30.6.1963. Ymmärtääkseni (?) osa haudoista on kuitenkin aikaisempia, ts. sodan aikaisia (?). Hautausmaan vanha portti on nykyään moottoritien varrella.

German War Cemetery Golm
The Golm War Cemetery is a World War II cemetery close to the German-Polish border on the island of Usedom It was created in 1944 on the Golm Hill - the highest lying land on the island of Usedom (69 m). It was a popular tourist destination prior to World War II. Thousands of German and Polish soldiers and citizens were buried there. In 1984 a sculpture Freezing Woman by Robert Leptien was erected in the center of the cemetery. To get to the cemetery I chose the forest path through the Golm Nature Reserve: no sounds exept for voices of birds.

German military cemetery in Maleme Crete /

Exploring the Secret Nazi Tunnels Under a German Vacation Town
DEEP IN THE MOUNTAINS OF Bavaria is a concrete doorway set into the side of the mountain. Even in the height of summer, the thick steel door is cool to the touch, and drips with condensation. From the edges of the door frame comes a chilling cold breeze. It isn’t marked on any tourists guide maps, as the government would prefer that you had no idea that it exists.
Behind the steel door lies the underground secret bunker complex of Adolf Hitler. This multi-roomed subterranean compound is composed of an apartment and a set of underground chambers for fellow Nazi inner circle members—over four miles of tunnels, bunkers and hidden rooms in total. Above ground, an entire village was built as an Alpine retreat for the Nazi government.

Abandoned; WW2 Luftwaffe German Military Airbase
Abandoned places; German Air Force airport from the 2nd World War was used as incident Short for the night fighter of Berlin, long-range bombers launch base, flying school, etc. You can see many barracks building, also an air force hospital, officers' club, a cinema, swimming pool, hangars and the start - runway. Slowly a dense jungle grows over the area, had to fight through chest high scrub. And always a swarm of mosquitoes behind. Also a very good video from German WW2 Bunkers is my video:
