Jog Falls Or Gersoppa Falls |Karnataka | India : The second-highest plunge waterfall of India, these magnificent falls are a major tourist attraction in Karnataka, the spellbinding view of which creates a truly memorable experience.
Located on the border of Shimoga and Uttara Kannada districts of Karnataka, Jog waterfalls is the highest waterfall In the state and is regularly mistaken as the highest waterfalls of India. Also known as Gerosappa Falls or the Joga Falls, these falls are one of the most important attractions in all of South India. Second only to the Nohkalikai Falls of Meghalaya, Jog falls drops about a huge 253 m (850 ft. ) in a single fall. However, due to the construction of Linganamakki Dam, the flow in the falls is hugely restricted before monsoons.

Landscape yatra held on February 10 and 11 of 2018 in which we travelled from konkan to sahyadri in which we could enjoy all the 3 landscapes(coastal,dryland, evergreen Forest)

the ghat road between jog falls to honavar on western seaboard was treacherous due to damaged road shoulders. it was prudent to slow down allow the oncoming vehicle to pass and then resume. the fog conditions made the situation worse. the loose gravel meant that your descent had to be careful due to fear of losing traction.

We recently visited to Jog Falls.
We took a train to Honnavar from Madgaon (#Goa Vlog will come soon). This vlog is about reaching to Jog Falls from #Honnavar by KSRTC Bus and visiting the majestic Jog falls.
Travelling by #KSRTC Bus is the cheapest and convenient option for Jog Falls.
During our research about reaching to Jog Falls, many people were suggesting to take taxi, which will cost around 2000 rs. But few people were telling that buses are available but not frequent.
So we decided to go there and take decision as per situation.
And What, Finally we got Bus for Jog Falls easily and this trip to #JOG was very budget.
