The Ghost Town of Golden, Oregon
The beautiful Ghost town of Golden, Oregon! Over a million dollars worth of gold was pulled out of Coyote Creek in the Golden area in the 1800's, now it's one of the better preserved Ghost Towns in the Great Pacific Northwest. The Church of Christ was built in 1892 by William Newton Ruble, and the old General Store and Schoolhouse still stand. You'll find Golden around 3 miles East of Wolf Creek and the Historic Wolf Creek Tavern, the longest running hotel in the Northwest (1883).
