Black mass moves in front of the camera
I wasn't sure as to what the mass could be. In the picture you can see that the camera woman's hand couldn't have moved in front of the lens as it was fastened down.
I noticed her pinky was by the camcorder lens so I tested it out and came to the conclusion that her pinky did not cover the lens for two reasons:
1. I put my pinky in front of the lens to debunk the video but it didn't cover the whole picture no matter how much I tried.
2. In the video the black mass is sort of see through as you can still see the investigators shirt.
The curtain was a likely culprit but it puzzled me because in the photo and in the video you can see that the camera lens is not close enough to the curtain for it to cover it.
Then I noticed a third and most likely culprit of the black mass.
Though the camcorder lens was not near the curtain the infrared light was, and the camera-woman's pinky was covering the camcorders built in infrared light (something I'll make sure doesn't happen in the future).
I'm at the conclusion that while the curtain didn't cover the lens, the black mass is the curtain covering the infrared light. The camcorder can't see in the dark without infrared light. This would explain why there is a see through effect when the black mass anomaly occurs.
This is my logical opinion. What do you think it is?

A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
A Study in Scarlet is an 1887 detective novel by British author Arthur Conan Doyle. Written in 1886, the story marks the first appearance of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, who would become among the most famous characters in literature. The book's title derives from a speech given by Holmes, an amateur detective, to his friend and chronicler Watson on the nature of his work, in which he describes the story's murder investigation as his study in scarlet: There's the scarlet thread of murder running through the colourless skein of life, and our duty is to unravel it, and isolate it, and expose every inch of it.
