Capri Boat Tour around whole Capri Island, Italy
If you're wondering what a private boat tour around Capri island is like, here's a video showing just that!
In May 2019, we got a 2 hour Capri boat tour on a gozzo boat with a company called Gianni's Boat tours which we found highly recommended on Tripadvisor & on Google reviews. (Not gifted, Not sponsored). Our tour guide was Juan Paolo (if I remember his name correctly), and you can hear some highlights of his commentary and explanations about the island included in this video.

- View of whole of Capri island, as seen from Monte San Costanzo, on mainland Italy (in Massa Lubrense on the Sorrentine peninsula). You can see our beautiful hike / walk on Monte San Costanzo on my video here:
- Marina Grande, Capri (on the central North of the island)
- Sailing across from the Capri side to the Anacapri side of the island
- Our tour inside the famous Blue Grotto / Grotta Azzurra, Italia, found on the North West of the island, and which we entered by switching to a small rowboat: You can see a more focused video of our tour in the Blue Grotto here:
- Punta Carena Lighthouse on the South West tip of the island
- The Green Grotto / Grotta Verde / The Green Cave, on the south side of the island
- Punta di Mulo on the south side of the island, with a little religious saint marking there.
- Marina Piccola on the South side of the island, where Juan Paolo pointed out where Fiona Swarovski's holiday / vacation beach house is.

- i Faraglioni - the famous coastal geological structure - the natural arch on the East side of the island.
- We skipped the White Grotto / Grotta Bianca because the water was getting a little choppy and I was getting a little seasick! so we cut the tour a little bit short.

Here's our experience visiting the Blue Grotto in Capri, Italy (Gotta Azzurra, Italia) in May 2019.
We arrived by sea via a private boat tour (using Gianni's Boat Tours) that started in Marina Grande harbor and went around the whole of Capri island, but let us stop by the famous Blue Cave / Blaue Grotte Bleue too. It is possible to visit from land too.
Grotta Azzurra is one of the most famous tourist attractions on Capri, often listed on Top Things to do in Capri and Most recommended places to visit in Capri and in the Amalfi Coast area lists.

SHIP EXCURSION FROM ISLE OF CAPRI -- BLUE GROTTO TOUR -- GULF OF NAPLES - campanian archipelago
Entrance to the Blue Grotto is possible only by boarding small rowboats which hold a maximum of four passengers at a time. The entrance ticket must be purchased at the floating ticket office at the cave entrance. After purchasing your ticket, your skipper will ask that you lay back along the bottom of the boat to enable the group to pass through the tiny mouth of the cave. Once inside, your skipper will row you around the cavern, singing traditional Neapolitan folk songs which echo off the rock walls and create an unforgettable atmosphere.
The glowing effect of the water inside the Blue Grotto is due to the sunlight which enters through a second, underwater cave mouth beneath that on the surface. For this reason, the most intense color comes with the most intense sunlight during the midday hours of noon to 2:00 p.m.. The difference between the first morning light and the late afternoon light is negligible, though there is often a longer line in the afternoon. It is best to avoid visiting the grotto on overcast days, when there internal glow is much less dramatic.
