Maritime Bleach - Hold
Hold is from Maritime Bleach's eight-track album I Am The Door Through Which The Cold Gets In recorded live-off-the-floor at Gigspace Studios in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on December 13, 2015.
---------------------------
Hold
bleach your breath and write the words
that you’ll forget in one month’s time
bury your face in the pillowcase
and try to forget that you’re alive
drink it up and wash it down
I’m swimming home trying not to drown
I’ve got this ghost it follows me around
and shines a light on all the dark I’ve found
hold on
I won’t be gone for too long
hold on
will you be waiting around?
will you be around?
you ran around and now you’re tired now
and sleep won’t help you’ve gotta fix yourself
I got your number
it rains and thunders
in every place when you’re not around
and I miss the summer
when these maps were younger
and there weren’t distances where there are now
hold on
I won’t be gone for too long
hold on
will you be waiting around
fill your bed with holes and bury yourself all alone
with someone else that you don’t know
turn yourself into a memory and worry about the little things
let it sink in, let it sink you, let it go
put out jars in your head
so when it rains you don’t have to drink the pain away
you can hold on
hold on
I won’t be gone for too long
hold on
will you be waiting around?

Maritime Bleach - Waiver
Waiver is from Maritime Bleach's eight-track album I Am The Door Through Which The Cold Gets In recorded live-off-the-floor at Gigspace Studios in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on December 13, 2015.
---------------------------
Waiver
get it all out on me
and tell me I’m the one
who broke every fragile thing you’ve ever loved
hold it all above me
and wait for wavering hands
to let sadness become a burden in my head
cause I’m a cancer
I’m left alone
and I’m the answer
left in your bones
and your skeleton
I will always call my
home-sick
I miss everyone I know
let it linger in my lungs as I breathe slow
and distance
a meter is a milestone
take it all for granted take it when I go
cause I’m a cancer
I’m left alone
and I’m the answer
left in your bones
there’s an attic in my head
furnished with all the things you’ve said
I try not to get too comfortable
I try not to stay too long
and I’m a cancer
I’m left alone
and I’m the answer
left in your bones

Maritime Bleach - Unlatched
Unlatched is from Maritime Bleach's eight-track album I Am The Door Through Which The Cold Gets In recorded live-off-the-floor at Gigspace Studios in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on December 13, 2015.
---------------------------
Unlatched
cover up the sun with dirt
drink until it doesn’t hurt, hurt
I’m the door through which the cold gets in
and I’m wide open
little girl wants to swallow the moon
he turned the lights out now the bedroom’s a tomb
now even autumn shivers grinding it’s bones
and she’s quite hopeless
tremble as it starts to hurt
remember this could not be worse, worse
what once was delicate is calloused skin
ripped right open
and I’m unlatched
I’m unlatched
I’m the door through which the cold gets in
and I’m wide open

---------------------------
Seams
I thought about it
and I let you down
I couldn’t doubt it
so I walked around
inside my head
how many pages have you turned?
how many bridges have you jumped off while they’ve burned?
just lay into me
pick apart at my seams
you say it’s not how it seems
and you’ve been keeping to yourself
you’re like if god were a mirror
photo collage on the shelf
wishing the past was still near
and have you ever wanted anything so bad?
and have you ever wanted to just live in the past?
so you lay into me
you pick apart at my seams
you say it’s not how it seems
I think it is how it seems
I thought about it
and I let you down
I couldn’t doubt it
so I walked around
inside my head
and you buried me
and kissed the casket
yeah you buried me
and kissed casket
just lay into me
pick apart at my seams
you say it’s not how it seems
i think it is how it seems
I think it is how it seems
