--WHAT TO SEE IN ISLAS DE GIGANTES--
We did two tours. The tour over land and the island hopping tour.
► Land tour
We’ve mainly seen two places:
- The old lighthouse
- Bakwitan Cave
Both are places you can hang around for a long time! It made up for a good daytrip. NOTE if you want to get all the way through in Bakwitan Cave (it’s quite big) you need to be prepaired. Good shoes and flashlight. There are some narrow passways. Otherwise just do like me and return halfway to the same entrance you entered!
► Island hopping
We arranged this through our resort. It’s one of the highlights of Islas de Gigantes.
Main attractions are around Gigantes Sur (the southern island)
We saw:
- Little Boracay or Mini Boracay or actually Tinagong Dagat. Fine sand and clear blue water
- Antonia beach (great for lunch and snorkeling)
- Salt water lagoon Tangke (fly the drone if you dare! Or swim in the shallow water)
- Cabugao Gamay Island (take a picture and enjoy the view. The most famous spot of the whole tour)
- Sandbar! Last in our tour, and a good way to end! Make sure you walk a bit over the entire island, it’s nice!
--WHERE TO SLEEP IN ISLAS DE GIGANTES--
Most resorts are in Isla de Gigantes Norte. It’s not the fancy resorts, but basic ones with good facilities. You can get food inside as well. There are more luxury resorts popping up. I am curious what this place will look like in a few years time!

--WHERE TO EAT IN ISLAS DE GIGANTES--
We only ate at one place, in our resort. They had amazing scallops and other seafood! Or bbq pork, you name it. Not expensive and very tasty! NOTE that you have to bring your own lunch if you’re going island hopping!

Island hopping in Isla de Gigantes aka Gigantes Island! With my cousins, aunt's, and uncle's

Sa mga pinsan ko sorry late ko na na-upload, sobrang nahirapan po ako mag edit, I need to flip my phone every time I try to touch a certain part sa phone dahil nabagsak ata to nung nag gigantes island tayo ng hindi ko alam. haha, pero eto na sana nagustuhan niyo.
Sorry pala hindi ako masyado nakapag montage dito, dahil nasobrahan ako sa ligo and activity dun.
PAANO MAKAPUNTA AND TIPS:
- punta lang kayo sa carles Ilo-ilo. Pag from manila pwede kayong mag RO-RO baba kayo carles or kung eroplano naman di ko pa na try pero ang airport nila ang baba sa Roxas or katiklan from there sakay kayo bus papuntang bancal fish port ayun rekta na yun. I'm not sure yet kung operational na ang Sikugon island Airport mas madali doon.

from bancal fish port madami na po doong tour guide pili lang po kayo kung office type or yung mismong kapitan and tourguide sa labas. Lahat po sila approachable and full accomodation ang ibibigay sa inyo. Mas marami kayo mas mura :D kami 18 tao pero ang pax na kinuha namin pang 25 for 7k only, kung marami kayo pwedeng mag hati hati nlng kayo sa bayad sa banka. Pwedeng magdala ng sariling food or kung malaki laki ang budget niyo kain kayo sa mga malulupit na sea food restaurant or any kainan dun :D

Gigantes Island Tour | Isla De Gigantes - Carles Iloilo City
Gigantes Island popularly known as Isla De Gigantes or Giant Island is located in Carles Iloilo. It is home of some of the most beautiful white sand beaches with crystal clear water. Like any other traveller I always enjoy nature and my country will never disappoint you. We have various placed to offer and the beauty of Iloilo will surely capture your attention.
Here’s how to reach Gigantes Island:
I booked a ticket from Manila to Roxas City. From Roxas airport rent a tricycle going to terminal bound to Estancia or Bankal Port (2 hours land travel).
Estancia to Gigantes is approximately 2 hours boat ride while Bankal port is only an hour. So, I chose Bankal instead to save time and boat leaves at 10 am.
Places I visited:
Cabugao Gamay Island - This is the most popular island of Gigantes and the most photographed. Tourist will wait an hour just to take their picture of this beautiful island.
Antonia Beach - Is my best choice and the most beautiful. White sand and crystal clear water shining like a diamond will truly captivate and mesmerize you. The island is rich and abundant with fish and corals which make it good for divers. I enjoyed snorkeling here and it was one of the best I visited so far.
Bantigue Island - It has a long sandbar not as charming as Kalanggaman but it has a unique beauty that you can’t ignore. I enjoyed my lunch here where I spent 600 for shells and crabs.
Tangke Lagoon - I was amazed with the beauty of this tiny lagoon. It was so solemn, majestic and magnificent. No words can best describe this place. If given a chance to stay overnight I will definitely do so. However, we were given 15 minutes only to enjoy and experience this amazing lagoon.
Lighthouse - In order to reach the place you need to ride a single motorcycle. The place was built by Spanish and its overlooking view is so wonderful. This is a good place to date while watching sunset or sunrise.
Expenses:
Plane Ticket - 4000 php two way.
Tricycle going to terminal - 125 php
Van going to Estancia or Bankal - 200 php
Boat from Bankal to Gigantes - 150
Environmental Fee - 75
Accommodation - 1500 air con room
Boat Island Hoping - 2500
Tour Guide - 500
Land Tour - 150
Food - 1500 2 meals dinner and breakfast.
Boat from Gigantes to Estancia - 100
Tricycle from port to terminal - 15 php
SoMe would say it is expensive but isn’t it we travel in an expense of money? Let me assure you the place is worth to spend anyway. Travel while you still can, enjoy and explore the world because it will teach you real life lesson.

* North Gigantes Medium Lighthouse (I was not able to take a video here because I left my phone at the boat. sad.)

* Pulupandan Island (They call it walang forever why? SECRET! It's for you to discover!)
* Tangke Natural Pool (unable to visit because the tide is not cooperating when we were there)
* Pawikan Cave (Caving turned into trekking so make sure to bring leggings, cloves and trekking shoes)
* Unlimited scallops hahaha
* Videoke is the nightlife there (5.00 Php per song lol)
* If you're a dog lover like me, there are alot of aspins around the island to cuddle and play with. They're so sweet maybe because the are ilonggos :D
* Bangkeros and Tour Guides are so accomodating and super nice!

How the Red Sea could have parted. Bulubadiang Island, 1.5 km away from the main island of Islas de Gigantes in Iloilo. The water was at least 2 meters deep when we crossed by boat at day time. We crossed again in the evening of same day, by foot. I wonder where did all the water go.
