GILI AIR, INDONESIA - THE BEST OF THE GILI ISLANDS? | VLOG #19
Gili Air, the island closest to Lombok and not too far from Bali either, was the last one of the Gili Islands we still had to visit. We experienced it has a lot more accommodation and activities than Gili Meno, but a bit less of the party atmosphere that Gili Trawangan has. We also saw a lot of diving opportunities with places to get your paddie and it looked like a popular island for families as well. In this video we fully explored the island by bike and usual we did it in our own way. Impressionen von unserem Trip auf Gili Air, Gili Meno und Gili Trawangan, während unserer Weltreise.
Von Gili Trawangan ging es später mit dem Fastboat weiter nach Bali.
Trotzdem hat es uns auf den Gili Inseln sehr gut gefallen.
Zuerst führte uns unser Trip auf Gili Air:
Gili Air ist größer als Meno und kleiner als Trawangan.
Es ist eine an für sich ruhige Insel, mit netten Restaurants und Bars.
Wir können euch das Easy Gili und auch das Gili Bliss empfehlen.
Easy Gili für Mittags und Abends und Gili Bliss für Frühstück, Smoothies und Co.
Auch die Zipp Bar am Strand war sehr cool, wenn auch teurer.
Danach ging es für 35.000IDR mit dem Public Boat von Gili Air auf Gili Meno:
Die Insel war fast wie ausgestorben, es gab wenige Restaurants und es war auch nichts los.
Ruhe hatten wir auch nicht, da wir direkt neben einer Moschee wohnten, die uns zwischen 04:30h und 05:00h weckte.
Zudem schrieben die Hähne den ganzen Tag. :)
Auch hier war alles braun und ausgetrocknet.
Es soll eigentlich eine wundervolle Insel sein (Pärcheninsel), wovon wir aber leider kaum etwas bemerkten.
Auch die Strände waren voller Korallen und kaum zum Barfuß laufen geeignet.
Das SakSak Cafè war toll und in der Nähe der Schildkrötenaufzuchtstation soll es im Wasser viele Schildkröten zu sehen geben.
Von Gili Meno aus ging es wieder für 35.000IDR, vom Hafen aus mit dem Public Boat, auf Gili Trawangan:
Trawangan wurde uns vorher als nicht lohnenswert angepriesen!
Partyinsel, schmutzig... die unschönste Insel der Gilis!
Uns hat es aber super gefallen!
Eine Seite ist ruhig, der Sonnenuntergang beim Ombak Sunset ist wundervoll.
Die andere Seite ist voll mit Bars, Cafès und Restaurants, aber es war immer ruhig (wir waren in der Nebenzeit dort).
Erst Abends gab es im Nachtleben auch Partys.
Alles war angenehm und nicht störend.
Mega gut war auch das Puqit Restaurant mit genialem veganem Essen!
Uns haben Gili Air und Gili Trawangan super gefallen.
Auf Trawangan haben wir links von der Schildkrötenaufzuchtstation beim schnorcheln mega vielen Schildkröten gesehen!

Strolling around the island, Gili air is a small island located in north Lombok - Indonesia.
Gili air is one of the tree small islands which is called as a three-Gilis
The most famous island is Gili Trawangan, an endless party island, Gili Meno is known as a very quiet island which is good for relaxing, I guess.???????? And I guarantee you beautiful turtles to see and statues under water
And Gili Air is not that quiet and not that crowded, let's say it's in the middle.
No pollution on these three Gilis as Motorcycle or car aren't allowed and there is one so-called 'horsecart', this is the main transportation on the island, besides you can also go all around by bicycle but if you bring many luggages I advise you to go by Horsecart, it costs you around $10 US dollar.

Selama enam hari, mulai dari tanggal 8 hingga 13 Desember 2018, Tribun Jogja bersama Kementrian Pariwisata Indonesia mengeksplorasi wisata pulau Lombok yang mulai bangkit paska bencana gempa.
Hari kedua, Tribun Jogja mengunjungai obyek wisata andalan Lombok, yakni Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, dan Gili Meno.
Di ketiga pulau cantik ini aktivitas pariwisata telah kembali normal. Wisatawan dapat berlibur dengan nyaman di ketiga pulau kecil yang berada di Kabupaten Lombok Utara tersebut.

✅ Gili Air! What a stunning place. We took the speed boat from Nusa Penida all the way to the gili islands! The views of mainland Lombok from Gili air were breathtaking! Such a gorgeous little island which is very walk able. We checked into our airbnb and then went off to explore for the day.

Gili Islands: Travel Guide for Gili Air and Gili Meno
The Gili islands in Indonesia are famous, touristy and a destination for many backpackers who visit Lombok or Bali. Why? The Gilis are quite, the sand is beautiful, the ocean crystal clear and the bars are fun. You can also go diving, snorkeling, and party if you want to.

But which island is the best? There is no answer! It really depends on what you want:

Gili Meno: really, really really quite! Nothing much to do! Just chill!
Gili Trawangan/Gili T: the island of party and mushrooms.
Gili Air: just in the middle - not too quite, not too much party! You can have some drinks here, there some nightlife, some bars, nice food, but still not as much party as on Gili Trawangan
By the way, it is really easy to travel from Bali or Lombok to the Gili islands. Also you can travel by public boat from one island to the other - really easy, cheap and fast.

- On Gili Meno you basically you chill! You can still go snorkeling and diving, but mainly it is all about doing nothing. You can visit the lake, watch the sunrise and sunset and enjoy the beach.

The Gili Islands are a group of 3 small islands of the coast of Lombok, Indonesia. (Lombok is next to Bali)
We spent the majority of our time in Gili Air and absolutely loved it. We hired bicycles for $5 a day and this got us all around the island with no problems. There are so many nice beaches and restaurants. Our favourite place was Mowies Bar. This is the place to go for dinner with a beautiful sunset. We were treated to the best sunset I had ever seen - watch to the end. The whole sky was amazing!
We also loved snorkeling around all the stunning coral. So many fish. We missed out on seeing a turtle unfortunately, but we will definitely be back one day.

Gili Meno is a beautiful Lombok island in Indonesia. Gili Meno island is a quiet little island just off of Lombok. Lombok is east of Bali and west of Sumbawa. The Gili Islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno), are motor-vehicle-free just off of Lombok’s west coast. Gili Meno offers beautiful beaches, reefs for diving and snorkeling, and a sea turtle hatchery. Our best thing to do in Gili Meno was visiting the Gili Meno Statues.

Gili Air Lombok Indonesia // Bicycles are useless!
DON'T rent a bicycle if you are visiting Gili Air! The perimeter of the island isn't paved, and you'll find yourself pushing your bike through the sand. The only place to ride is inland, and there's really no need as the whole island is 1.2kms from west to east coast.
That being said, we had a pretty great day exploring Gili. We swam with a BUNCH of turtles, (check that video here: ), we helped out some local kids, saw the solar panels, the school and had some great food.
