JEJU ISLAND - CHEONJEYEON WATERFALL 2nd cascade
Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, not to be confused with the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, is a three-tier waterfall located on Jeju Island. In the first cascade, the cliff is 22 m high and the water falls into Cheonjeyeon pond which is 21 m deep. From there, the water falls 30 m and continues to the third waterfall. Eventually, the water reaches the ocean. Cheonjeyeon means Pond of the Heaven's Emperor. According to Korean legend, nymphs would descend from the heavens at night and bathe in the waterfall's pond. The falls are a popular tourist attraction on Jeju-do. Rare plants such as the solipnan (솔잎난) plants or Skeleton fork fern (Psilotum nudum) can be found around the falls. Since ancient times, it is thought that standing under the waterfall on special days can cure diseases. The waterfall is one of the three famous waterfalls of Jeju, the other two being Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Jeongbang Waterfall.
Above the falls is Seonimgyo Bridge, which symbolizes the legend of Cheonjeyeon.

ALIVE in Jejudo, South Korea Travel Vlog/Video~!!!
Hi Everyone!
Welcome back to all those who are returning and welcome to all those who are new~
This video is the third part of the nine-part series I am doing on my trip to Asia: South Korea in Summer 2017 (if you would like to skip forward to the part of the trip, you can do so at 0:44!)
I will put all of the places I went to down below!! If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to let me know!~
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
July 7, 2017 (Spontaneous trip to Jejudo!)
--10:45am We started off our day shopping in an underground bus terminal since our shopping spree got cut off short last night (haha). We actually got a lot of stuff to the point that we had to buy backpacks to carry our stuff.
!!!UNDERGROUND SHOPS ARE USUALLY THE CHEAPEST PLACES TO BUY CLOTHES!!!
--Around 3pm we came back to the apartment to drop off our stuff and get ready to go to the Gimpo airport. We were worried we were running really late since our flight was scheduled for 5pm but we still had to get there and check in (haha) but we made it with 20 minutes to spare~
--The flight was short, we arrived around 6:30pm; however it took awhile for us to find out and get to our rental car place. Unfortunately, after getting there, we found out we needed an International Driver's Permit which we didn't have (????) so we couldn't rent a car. We then waited over an hour to get picked up by a taxi to drop us off at our airbnb (which was actually almost an hour away which made the taxi guy mad because he was stating how he wouldn't make much commission).
!!!!MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOU GET YOUR IDP IF YOU GO TO JEJUDO! MANY REGRETS. YOU DO not WANT TO TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!!!!
--In the end we arrived at 11:30pm when we should have gotten there around 8pm, but the airbnb we stayed at was VERY hospitable and friendly. We actually had the whole place to ourselves (there were 8 beds total, a kitchen, a tv, and a bathroom that had shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste there).
July 8, 2017 (Bus Day)
--So we woke up at 6am to get ready for a full day of using Jejudo's Public Transportation. This severely affected our trip since now it takes double-triple the time to get to places we wanted to go.
--We had a morning stroll near the airbnb which is right next to the sea which was nice then had breakfast provided for us by the airbnb which was really good.
--We then walked to the bus station which was a couple of blocks away to get to the main, center bus station (suh-gee-pyo terminal) to take another bus to get to our first destination (we stopped at the terminal convenient store to get wifi passes just in case as well as a little snack for Julia)
!!WIFI PASSES WILL HELP YOU IMMENSELY IN KOREA!!!
--After 2.5 hours of traveling, we FINALLY arrived to the ALIVE MUSEUM! I would say that this place was the best place to go in Jejudo. So many fun things to do, highly recommend!
--After 2.5 hours of taking pictures and venturing around, we went to the Glass Museum which was GORGEOUS! Everything that you see in the video is all made out of glass. There are even classes for you to take to make your own glass souvenir!
--After 2 hours of walking around the beautiful glass park, we then walked to the nearest bus station which was 30 minutes away but wasn't a bad walk! We ate blackberries off the bushes (which was actually really good) and took pictures by a random field of flowers haha.
--We arrived 30 minutes early so we got to go to the Green Tea Field and take pictures
--Lastly, we after 1.5 hours, we arrived at a famous Jejudo market where we ate fresh sashmi and stew (sososo good and cheap-only $10 for the sashmi and $15 for the stew!)
--After all of this, it was around 5pm so we had to start to head back since we had to take the bus. (Funny story, we actually all fell asleep so we missed our stop and had to get off to take another bus backwards so we actually didn't get back until around 9pm-ish).
Overall, very fun but tiring day! We slept early so that we can wake up early tomorrow to take the public transportation again...or so we thought..LOL
STAY TUNED UNTIL SATURDAY for PART FOUR of Korea~!
