Παραλία Γιόσωνας Χίος - Giosonas beach Chios

Η παραλία του Γιόσωνα βρίσκεται στη βορειοανατολική Χίο σε απόσταση 33 χλμ από την πόλη και 6 χλμ από το χωριό Καρδάμυλα.
Πρόκειται για μία μεγάλη παραλία με βότσαλα και καθαρά κρυστάλλινα νερά. Το φυσικό τοπία είναι μοναδικό με τα πεύκα να φτάνουν μέχρι τη θάλασσα. Το όνομα της παραλίας (Γιόσωνας) προέρχεται από τον ήρωα της Αργοναυτικής εκστρατείας Ιάσονα. Ο μύθος θέλει τον θρυλικό ήρωα να πέρασε από την παραλία στο ταξίδι του προς το Χρυσόμαλλο Δέρας.

This is a mini waterfall located to northeast Chios in Greece, located in an area called Giosonas. It is created only during the Fall/Winter seasons. In exceptional cases, if there' a lot of rainfall and the spring has surplus of water, can last until the end of Spring (May).
