Ushuaia or Ushuaia (Spanish, Ushuaia is pronounced) is the capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands, the southernmost of Argentina. Located south of the Tierra del Fuego Grand Island on the edge of the eponymous bay, near the Beagle Channel and southwest of the province, in the Ushuaia department, the city is considered to be the southernmost in the world. .
Ushuaia covers an area of 9,390 km2 and had 56,825 inhabitants in 2010. It has a deep-water port that is one of the closest to Antarctica and is surrounded by the Martial and Olivia Mountains and their valleys.
Ushuaïa ou Ushuaia (en espagnol, Ushuaia se prononce) est la capitale de la province de Terre de Feu, Antarctique et Îles de l'Atlantique Sud, la plus méridionale de l'Argentine. Située au sud de la Grande Île de Terre de Feu en bordure de la baie éponyme, à proximité du canal Beagle et au sud-ouest de la province, dans le département d'Ushuaïa, la ville est considérée comme étant la plus australe du monde.
Ushuaïa a une superficie de 9 390 km2 et comptait 56 825 habitants en 2010. Elle dispose d’un port en eaux profondes qui est l’un des plus proches de l’Antarctique et est entourée par les monts Martial et Olivia et leurs vallées.

( merci de noter la vidéo ) ABONNEZ-VOUS pour suivre l'évolution de ma chaine YouTube Ushuaïa présente une architecture tout à fait intéressante. Vous la découvrirez en vous baladant en ville : rendez-vous à la Plaza 12 de Octubre pour voir l'imposant obélisque qui représente le coeur de la ville. Le sombre Edificio de la Legislatura Provincial se trouve aussi dans cette zone. Il a été construit en 1894 puis reconstruit après un feu l'ayant entièrement détruit en 1920. Le musée à ne surtout pas manquer est le Museo del Fin del Mundo qui présente des expositions sur la découverte de la région mais aussi des exemples d'oiseaux typiques de la Patagonie. L'ancienne prison où étaient enfermés les criminels les plus célpebres d'Argentine entre 1884 et 1947 abrite aujourd'hui le musée maritime et le musée de la prison. Le Museo Yámana vous permettra de connaître la population Yámana avant de partir visiter par la suite le Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego ;.Ushuaïa est la paradis de la nature à l'état pur. Les montagnes voisines offrent la possibilité de faire un grand nombre d'activités différentes : randonnée, escalade, trekking, vélo et ski en hiver à Cerro Castor. Une excursion à Cerro Martial vous permettra d'accéder au Mont Martial d'où vous aurez de magnifiques vues sur Ushuaïa et le Canal Beagle. Enfin, n'hésitez surtout pas à prendre le Tren del Fin del Mundo (le train du bout du monde) pour une excursion unique qui vous emmènera à la découverte des magnifiques paysages de la Patagonie. You'll find out as you stroll into town: go to the Plaza 12 de Octubre to see the imposing obelisk that is the heart of the city. The dark Edificio the Provincial Legislatura is also in this area. It was built in 1894 and rebuilt after a fire having completely destroyed in 1920. The museum not to be missed is the Museo del Fin del Mundo, which features exhibits on the discovery of the region but also examples of typical birds of Patagonia. The former prison where criminals were locked up most of célpebres Argentina between 1884 and 1947 now houses the Maritime Museum and the prison museum. The Museo Yámana will let you know the population Yámana before visiting later the Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego,. Ushuaia is the paradise of nature in its purest form. The nearby mountains offer the possibility of a large number of different activities: hiking, climbing, trekking, cycling and winter skiing at Cerro Castor. An excursion to Cerro Martial will give you access to Mount Martial where you'll have magnificent views of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. Finally, do not hesitate to take the Tren del Fin del Mundo (the train side of the world) for a unique tour that takes you to explore the beautiful landscapes of Patagonia.

Travel : Trip 100 : South America, Argentina - Hike on the Martial Glacier
Movie recorded during a hike to the Martial Glacier near the town of Ushusia, Argentina, on a trip to South America and Antarctica in February/March 2011.
Ushuaia is one of the main tourist centers of the Tierra del Fuego Province and is one of the most visited spots in Southern Argentina. It is also the main port/staging post for Expedition Cruise ships departing for Antarctica.
The Martial Glacier is about a 7 km walk from the town of Ushuaia. There is a chairlift/ski slope that takes you to the base of the Martial mountain chain, from where there are numerous walks upto the 1100 meters mark where the Martial Glacier ice fields begin.
On the day of my hike, as you can see in the Movie I had to take abit of a 'leap of faith' with the weather as it was very foggy early in the morning.
However, the luck was with me as the clouds/mist cleared when I near on the summit and i was able to enjoy great mountain views as well as panoramic views over the Beagle Channel down below.

Patagonia El Chalten Hiking and Tierra Del Fuego Ushuaia, Argentina
Patagonia El Chalten is famous for hiking to FItz Roy which is the Brand Patagonia's LOGO. Ethan and I as we finish out the last leg of the trip into Ushuaia! We hike up to Fitz Roy, We swim in a glacier lake, we party with Israelis. We ride through Tierra del Fuego to Ushuaia, Argentina. We make it to the end of the world. We do another hike in Ushuaia which was so beautiful but we ran out of food!
I will be posting a final full length film on the trip sometime and also a highlights montage cause I think it's cool to see it all in around 10 minutes. Hope you enjoy! There is a whole playlist if you wanna see from start to finish!
Riding motorcycles from Ohio to Patagonia is one of the craziest things I've done. Adventure riding is something that I love to do and I never pass up a Challenge.
