Les Diablerets is a small village perched in the heart of the Swiss mountains at the foot of the Glacier 3000 ski area. There are three main ski areas next to the village but Isenau and Glacier 3000 are the most popular, with the latter boasting the area's highest peaks. Glacier 3000, got its name for its position atop the 3.5km-long Glacier de Tsanfleuron and has had an increase in popularity since the 2014 opening of the incredible Peak Walk by Tissot suspension bridge.
Perched on the Bernese Alps, the 3,210 high massif near the Les Diablerets village is the highest one in the canton of Vaud. In the Middle Ages, the rock wall of the massif, known as the Devil's Skittle, was regarded as a dangerous and cursed place where the devil lived. Hence, the name “Les Diablerets“ which is derived from the French ‘le Diable’, or the devil.
Today all that has changed. Les Diablerets and indeed the whole area of the Vaud Alps has become a wonderful playground for tourists and locals alike. With so many activities to offer like hiking, climbing, biking, ballooning, rafting, skiing, snowboarding, sledding and snowshoeing in the winter, this place is a true paradise. Indeed with 74 lifts in the region including a train, six cablecars, 9 detachable chairlifts, 2 ordinary chairlifts and 27 ski lifts, the area is a mecca for winter sports and mountain enthusiasts who will find a variety of good hotels to select from as well as plenty of chalets and apartments to rent.

Our Day at Glacier 3000, Switzerland
Glacier 3000 is the name of a company that operates a cable car to the highest point of the Vaudois Alps in Switzerland. The Diablerets (the abode of devils) is a huge cluster of mountains, the highest being at 3,210 meters (10,530ft) above sea level.
We couldn't pass up the opportunity to ride to the top of this impressive mountain peak in the 'mother of all' cable cars.
We were also keen to see the suspension bridge they call The Peak Walk which is located at the top of the cable car ride. This is a unique suspension bridge, the first one in the world that links two mountain peaks.

High up in the mountains above Les Diablerets in Switzerland, lies Glacier 3000 Diablerets - Gstaad, a high altitude mountain experience. Alongside the natural attractions of a glacier and high mountains there are a few man made attractions including snow bus rides, a suspension bridge connecting two mountain peaks and a very thrilling alpine coaster. Which did the kids like best? Well, let's just say the glacier walk yielded grumbles from some while Europe's highest alpine coaster or toboggan just made everyone scream.

The Diablerets (French: Les Diablerets) is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, located between the cantons of Valais and Vaud, in the western French-speaking part of Switzerland. The summit (indicated as Sommet des Diablerets) is 3,210 metres (10,530 ft) high, making it the highest mountain in the canton of Vaud. The mountain is located near the homonymous village and ski resort of Les Diablerets. On the south and Valais side it overlooks the hamlet and valley of Derborence. The south face overlooks the Pas de Cheville. Politically, the summit of the Diablerets is split between the municipalities of Conthey (Valais), Ormont-Dessus and Bex (Vaud).

The small Glacier des Diablerets is located near the summit on the Valais side. The much larger Glacier de Tsanfleuron (often called Glacier des Diablerets) descends from a prominence east of the summit called Le Dôme toward the Sanetsch Pass. Several ski lifts are located on it. The Tsanfleuron Glacier can be accessed easily via the Scex Rouge by an aerial tramway from the Col du Pillon, operated by Glacier 3000.

Glacier 3000 Tissot Peak Walk - Les Diablerets Switzerland
Full walk from peak to peak in the winter. After arriving in Col du Pillon with Swiss Postbus / Postauto from Les Diablerets, I joined the cable car to Cabane at 8284ft (2525m). At Cabane I arrived already above the clouds and took the 2nd cable car from Cabane to Scex Rouge at 9678ft (2950m). A clear blue sky was waiting with really stunning views over the Swiss Alps. Absolutely beautiful. After taking the elevator to restaurant Botta, I continued to the Peak Walk. This a pedestrian suspension bridge between 2 mountain peaks.
This Peak Walk from Peak 2 Peak is situated in the Diablerets massif of the Bernese Alps in the canton of Vaud. The Peak Walk by Tissot was the world's first suspension bridge which connects two mountain peaks. The Peak Walk has a length of 351 ft, a slope of 15%, was opened in 2014 and is build by Seiler AG from Böningen in Switzerland.

Voller Spaziergang von Gipfel zu Gipfel im Winter. Nachdem ich mit dem Postauto von Les Diablerets in Col du Pillon angekommen war, stieg ich in die Seilbahn nach Cabane auf 2525 m. In Cabane bin ich bereits über den Wolken angekommen und mit der 2. Seilbahn von Cabane nach Scex Rouge auf 2950 m Höhe gefahren. Ein klarer blauer Himmel wartete mit wirklich atemberaubenden Ausblicken über die Schweizer Alpen. Wunderschön. Nachdem ich mit dem Aufzug zum Restaurant Botta gefahren war, ging es weiter zum Peak Walk. Dies ist eine Fußgänger-Hängebrücke zwischen 2 Berggipfeln.
Dieser Peak Walk von Peak 2 Peak befindet sich im Diablerets-Massiv der Berner Alpen im Kanton Vaud. Der Peak Walk von Tissot war die weltweit erste Hängebrücke, die zwei Berggipfel verbindet. Der Peak Walk hat eine Länge von 107m, eine Steigung von 15%, wurde 2014 eröffnet und wird von der Seiler AG aus Böningen in der Schweiz gebaut.

Pleine marche de pic en pic en hiver. Après mon arrivée au Col du Pillon avec Swiss Postbus / Postauto depuis Les Diablerets, j'ai rejoint le téléphérique pour Cabane à 2525 m. À Cabane, je suis déjà arrivé au-dessus des nuages et j'ai pris le deuxième téléphérique de Cabane à Scex Rouge à 2950m. Un ciel bleu clair attendait avec une vue vraiment imprenable sur les Alpes suisses. Absolument magnifique. Après avoir pris l'ascenseur jusqu'au restaurant Botta, j'ai continué vers le Peak Walk. Il s'agit d'un pont suspendu pour piétons entre 2 sommets.
Ce Peak Walk de Peak 2 Peak est situé dans le massif des Diablerets des Alpes bernoises dans le canton de Vaud. Le Peak Walk de Tissot a été le premier pont suspendu au monde qui relie deux sommets montagneux. Le Peak Walk a une longueur de 107m, une pente de 15%, a été ouvert en 2014 et est construit par Seiler AG de Böningen en Suisse.

Volledige wandeling van piek tot piek in de winter. Na aankomst in Col du Pillon met de Zwitserse Postbus / Postauto van Les Diablerets naar Gstaad, ging ik met de kabelbaan naar Cabane op 2525m. Bij Cabane kwam ik al boven de wolken aan en nam de 2e kabelbaan van Cabane naar Scex Rouge op 2950m. Een helderblauwe hemel wachtte met werkelijk adembenemende uitzichten over de Zwitserse Alpen. Absoluut prachtig. Nadat ik de lift naar restaurant Botta had genomen, ging ik verder naar de Peak Walk. Dit is een voetgangershangbrug tussen 2 bergtoppen.
Deze Peak Walk van Peak 2 Peak is gelegen in het Diablerets-massief van de Berner Alpen in het kanton Vaud. De Peak Walk van Tissot was 's werelds eerste hangbrug die twee bergtoppen met elkaar verbindt. De Peak Walk heeft een lengte van 107m, een helling van 15%, werd geopend in 2014 en is gebouwd door Seiler AG uit Böningen in Zwitserland.

So here's another video on my life's most thrilling experience!
We went to the glaciers in the Swiss Alps. The place shown in this video is Glacier 3000. We had to board a huge size cable car to reach to the top. We got frost bites while descending down for Snow Bus ride.
We were amazed by the beauty of the snow capped mountains in the Swiss Alps. The most thrilling experience was the Peak Walk at 3000 mts. Watch the full video to enjoy what we experienced.

Luftseilbahn Col du Pillon - Glacier des Diablerets (Gstaad / Les Diablerets)
Die Waadtländer Alpen mögen vielleicht nicht ganz so bekannt sein wie das Wallis oder das Berner Oberland, aber die Berglandschaft ist auch hier einzigartig. Les Diablerets – oder zu deutsch die Teufelshörner – zählen zu den beeindruckendsten Gebirgszügen in den Waadtländer Alpen. Zu Beginn der 60er Jahre begann man mit der Erschliessung der mystischen Teufelshörner durch Seilbahnen.
1964 war das Seilbahnnetz zwischen der im Berner Oberland gelegenen Ortschaft Reusch über den Col du Pillon bis zum Glacier des Diablerets fertig gestellt. In den 90er Jahren wurden auf einen Schlag bis auf die Gletscherschlepplifte alle Seilbahnen am Glacier des Diablerets neu erstellt. Seither führt eine Seilbahnkette bestehend aus zwei Sektionen Luftseilbahn mit spektakulärer Trassierung vom Col du Pillon bis in knapp 3000 Meter Höhe.
