A great example of how effective marine reserves are. If you haven't been here, take the time to check it out as the sea life is simply outstanding. This is what I managed to see in the 1.5hrs that I was there, but Im sure there is still a lot more to be seen.

Diving New Zealand | Goat Island

Another awesome sunday dive, Goat Island marine reserve had 10m+ visibility and fish galore. Raenee hadn't been diving in about 6 months so she was getting back into the swing of things while I was logging more hours on the Prism2. Goat Island is probably one of the best shore diving locations around Auckland with an abundance of fish due to its no take policy. Conditions were perfect with minimal wind and as always Goat Island delivers, its insane how close the marine life gets to you when you don't make noise and scare them off with the bubbles :-)

A trip around Goat Island at Leigh in the glassbottom boat. Unfortunately conditions were too murky for underwater viewing, but we were able to view the outer coastline of Goat Islands with its caves complete with stalactites.
