Henryk Rysz founder of Sabina Glass in Rymanow Poland gave us a surprise demonstration.
Henryk Rysz decided to just give us a quick lesson. He is a master of glass blowing and a pioneer in a secret new method that we weren't allowed to share at this time (July 2018). His work along with the work of the other artists there is an amazing display of precise timing and manipulation of molten glass. He is a world renowned master of glass. Visiting their factory is an absolute must when in southern Poland. Their gallery is full of amazing work. I cannot even begin to describe how intricate and perfect some of their pieces are. Please visit their website sabinaglass.pl I'm not an employee of sabina. Just an amazed visitor.

Senses of Art Formerly and Today – period 2
Can artistic glass inspire contemporary artists? An answer to that question is to be found in the second film of the series “Senses of Art Formerly and Today”, directed by the curator of the project Andrzej S. Grabowski, videotaped and edited by Tomek Pyrak.
This film features an item from the collection of The Wilanów Palace Museum, a ribbed bottle made of beautiful red glass, created in Augsburg at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. Its shape was derived from a pilgrim bottle. Our guest is an outstanding creator of contemporary artistic glass Prof. Zbigniew Horbowy. Thanks to the letter inscription on the silver ornament, we know the unique vessel came from the workshop of Albrecht Biller (1653-1720).
The motif of each film in the series “Senses of Art Formerly and Today” is a work of art from the collection of the Wilanów Palace Museum: a picture, a sculpture, a fabric, a graphic, a piece of furniture, glass, china, a weapon, a costume or a literary work. The first part of each film presentation introduces an outline of the history, the author’s profile and the creative technique. The second part is an interview with a chosen artist, which brings us closer to how the works emerge, shows the techniques, inspirations, the need to create, and analogies to ancient art and the item chosen from the Wilanów collection.
The producer of the series is The Wilanów Palace Museum. Enjoy the film!
