Glen Maye (or Glenmaye, Manx: Glion Maye – Luxuriant Glen) is a small village on the west coast of the Isle of Man, just south of Peel.[1] It is home to the glen of the same name, which is well known for its picturesque waterfall and the sheltered and fern-filled woodland walk through the glen to the small pebble beach on the coast. At the bottom of the glen is the Mona Erin wheelcase, the only visible evidence of the mining that took place here between 1740 and 1870. The glen comprises some 11.5 acres (47,000 m2) situated on either side of the Rushen River, and came into Manx National Heritage ownership in 1960.
The village is also known for its public house, 'The Waterfall Hotel', located at the entrance to the glen and near the waterfall itself.
The Isle of Man is located in the middle of the northern Irish Sea, almost equidistant from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland (closest), and Wales (farthest). It is 52 kilometres (32 mi) long and, at its widest point, 22 kilometres (14 mi) wide. It has an area of around 572 square kilometres (221 sq mi). Besides the island of Mann itself, the political unit of the Isle of Man includes some nearby small islands: the seasonally inhabited Calf of Man, Chicken Rock on which stands an unmanned lighthouse, St Patrick's Isle and St Michael's Isle. The last two of these are connected to the main island by permanent roads/causeways.
Ranges of hills in the north and south are separated by a central valley. The northern plain, by contrast, is relatively flat, consisting mainly of deposits from glacial advances from western Scotland during colder times. There are more recently deposited shingle beaches at the northernmost point, the Point of Ayre. The island has one mountain higher than 600 metres (2,000 ft), Snaefell, with a height of 620 metres (2,034 ft). According to an old saying, from the summit one can see six kingdoms: those of Mann, Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, and Heaven. Some versions add a seventh kingdom, that of the sea, or Neptune

This video is about Isle of Man by Drone - Niarbyl using my DJI Phantom 3 Advanced and part of my Isle of Man by Drone series.
Niarbyl, which means the tail in Manx for the way it extends into the Irish Sea, is a settlement along the southwest coast of Isle of Man (an island between Ireland and Scotland) between Port Erin and Peel. It borders the Irish Sea and is best known for its spectacular sea views which include Calf of Man and, on clear days, include the mountains of Ireland.
Its access road offshoots from the A27 Road at Dalby.
Niarbyl Bay and its surrounds are considered an asset of the Manx National Heritage which oversees the area's preservation as well as the Niarbyl Cafe & Visitor Centre.
One of the fisherman's cottages in the settlement was used as Ned Divine's cottage in the 1998 film Waking Ned. In 1968, the same cottage had been used in Nigel Kneale's television adaptation of his book, The Year of the Sex Olympics
The Niarbyl Fault, a geologic fault marking what remains of the now-extinct Iapetus Ocean, is located just down the hill from the cafe.

Rushen Abbey heritage Model Ballasalla Isle of Man
Rushen Abbey by the Silverburn river in Ballasalla is the ancient home of the church on the Isle of Man. The Abbey was closed at the time of the reformation with much of the stone used for local building work. After time spent as a tourist site and the Academy night club in the 1980's and 90's
the site was bought by the Isle of Man government in 1998. Manx National Heritage have built a visitor centre, as part of which you can see the models
featured here.

Isle of Man - The Beauty of the Island
Drone Footage of Moors and Derelict Buildings - Isle of Man.
The aim is to show there is far more to this island than the TT Races, I love to explore using my Drone and my Motorcycles. My Drone footage even shows me places to re-visit when I view them on the computer screen. Buildings, Valleys, Rivers, Streams, Caves, rock faces that I simply would not know existed until I review this footage. My aim is for you the viewer to also watch these videos and see places that spark that lightbulb moment, they even may make you want to buy a drone and fly the same locations and get closer to those places that I have not yet returned to.
